CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING ALL STATE AND LOCAL
PERMITS REQUIRED FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT.
ALL WORK IS TO BE COORDINATED BY THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR TO
ASSURE ADEQUATE FIT, FINISH, SYSTEM OPERATION, AND FULL
COMPLETION OF THE WORK, INCLUDING SERVICE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
OWNER'S FIXTURES, FURNISHINGS, AND EQUIPMENT.
ALL DIMENSIONS ARE SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS. ANY DIMENSIONS NOT
SHOWN OR DEEMED QUESTIONABLE ARE TO BE VERIFIED WITH THE
ARCHITECT/DESIGNER. DO NOT SCALE DIMENSIONS OFF DRAWINGS.
CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT SHOP DRAWINGS FOR ALL
MILLWORK/CASEWORK. CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT A MINIMUM OF (3)
SETS OF HARD COPY SUBMITTALS OR ONE PDF VERSION OF THE
SUBMITTAL TO THE DESIGNER/ARCHITECT FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL.
PRIOR TO SUBMITTAL, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SIGN EACH SHOP
DRAWING SUBMITTAL CERTIFYING THAT THEY HAVE REVIEWED,
APPROVED, AND THAT CONTRACTOR COORDINATION HAS BEEN
PERFORMED ON SAID SHOP DRAWINGS.
DURING THE ENTIRE PERIOD OF DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION, ALL
EXISTING EXITS, EXIT LIGHTING, FIRE PROTECTIVE DEVICES AND ALARMS
SHALL BE CONTINUOUSLY MAINTAINED IN WORKING ORDER.
CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE AND INSTALL PORTABLE FIRE
EXTINGUISHERS IF REQUIRED BY LOCAL FIRE MARSHAL AND/OR IN
ACCORDANCE WITH NFPA 10. ALL LOCATIONS AND TYPE OF CABINET ARE
TO BE COORDINATED WITH THE ARCHITECT/DESIGNER AND LOCAL
OFFICIALS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.
CONTRACTOR IS TO SHOW PROOF OF ORDER OF FINISH MATERIALS
WITHIN 30 DAYS OF AWARD OF CONTRACT. DESIGN FEES WILL ACCRUE
FOR TIME SPENT TO RESELECT ANY MATERIALS WHICH BECOME
UNAVAILABLE DUE TO DELAYS IN ORDERING. THE OWNER RESERVES THE
RIGHT TO WITHHOLD PAYMENT FROM THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO
COVER ANY AND ALL OF THESE FEES AND EXPENSES. CONTRACTOR
SHALL IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY THE DESIGNER/ARCHITECT IF A SPECIFIED
ITEM BECOMES DISCONTINUED.
CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR COMPLETE PATCH AND REPAIR OF ALL
SURFACES DAMAGED DURING DEMOLITION AND/OR CONSTRUCTION. ALL
DAMAGED SURFACES SHALL BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED USING
MATERIALS WITH MINIMUM QUALITY EQUAL TO THAT OF ORIGINAL OR
ADJACENT MATERIAL, WHICHEVER QUALITY IS HIGHER. ALL
REPAIRED/REPLACED SURFACES ARE TO BE PREPARED TO RECEIVE
FINISHES AS SCHEDULED WITHOUT VISIBLE SEAM OR SEPARATION.
ANY WORK DEVIATING FROM CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND/OR
SPECIFICATIONS SHALL ONLY BE MADE UPON WRITTEN APPROVAL OF THE
ARCHITECT AND THE OWNER'S DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVE. CHANGE
ORDER REQUEST AND APPROVAL SHALL BE MADE PRIOR TO PROCEEDING
WITH ANY CHANGE ORDER WORK. DESIGNER/ARCHITECT SHALL BE
NOTIFIED OF ANY DELAY OF WORK THAT COULD RESULT BY THE DELAY IN
CHANGE ORDER APPROVAL.
CONTRACTOR TO PATCH FLOOR WHERE NEW TRENCH FOR ELECTRICAL
AND PLUMBING IS MADE. FLOOR PATCH TO BE SMOOTH TO ACCEPT NEW
SCHEDULED FINISHES.

PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF NEW FINISHES CONTRACTOR SHALL INSPECT
ALL SUBSTRATES. IF A SUBSTRATE IS DEEMED UNACCEPTABLE THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE THE NECESSARY STEPS TO RECTIFY THE
SITUATION OR CONTACT THE ARCHITECT WITH THE CONCERN
PROCEEDING WITH THE INSTALLATION OF FINISHES WILL BE CONSTRUED

INTERIOR WALL AND CEILING FINISHES WILL BE CLASS B MINIMUM, WITH A
FLAME SPREAD RATING OF 75 MAXIMUM AND A SMOKE DEVELOPED INDEX
OF 450 MAXIMUM, PER IBC SECTION 803.
FLOORING CONTRACTOR TO LEVEL EXISTING FLOOR PER
MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATION AS REQUIRED TO ACCEPT NEW
FLOORING.
CONTRACTOR IS TO SUBMIT A MINIMUM OF (3) THREE SAMPLES OF EACH
FINISH TO DESIGNER FOR APPROVAL PRIOR TO ORDERING. ALTERNATES
