1. ALL MECHANICAL ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING, FIRE SUPPRESSION, AND

SERVICES UNDER THE GENERAL CONTRACT. PROVIDE A COMPLETE,
WORKING SYSTEM. SCHOTT DESIGN, WG, IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE
DESIGN, INSTALLATION, OR RENOVATION OF THE FIRE SPRMKLER SYSTEM.
2 THE DESIGN/BUILD CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH THE INDIANA
BUILDING CODE, THE INDIANA FIRE CODE, AND ALL OTHER APPLICABLE
LAWS, CODES, RULES AND REGULATIONS THAT APPLY TO DESIGN AND
WSTALLATION OF FIRE SPRINKLER/FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS.
3. THE FIRE PROTECTION CONTRACTOR SHALL GENERATE ALL REQUIRED
DRAWINGS, AND SHALL FILE THOSE DRAWINGS, AND RELATED
DOCUMENTS, WITH THE STATE AND LOCAL AUTHORITIES HAVING
JURISDICTION OVER THE PROJEQ.

5. VERIFY EXISTING CONDITIONS INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS AND REPORT ANY

7. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH THE LANDLORD, DAILY
WORKING HOURS, WEEKEND HOURS AND HOURS THAT MAY BE WORKED PRIOR TO
AND DURING HOLIDAYS. LANDLORD RESERVES THE RIGHT i0 RESTRICT
CONSTRUCTION TO NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS WHEN THAT CONSTRUQION IS DEEMED
TO MTERFERE WITH THE OPERATIONS OF ADJACENT TENANTS.
8. FOR THOSE ITEMS TO BE ORDERED REQUIRING LEAD TIME, THE CONTRACTOR
SHALL COORDINATE THE PROJECT SCHEDULE ACCORDINGLY AND COMMUNICATE
TO THE OWNER, TENANT, AND SCHOTT DESIGN WHEN DECISIONS MUST BE RENDERED
IN ORDER FOR THE CONTRACTOR TO MEETTHE PROJECT SCHEDULE. THE OWNER,
TENANT, OR DESIGNER/ARCHITECT IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DELAYS RESULTING
FROM THE CONTRAQOR'S FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE MATERIAL LEAD TIMES.
9. SUBSTIiUTIONS FOR SPECIFICALLY NAMED PRODUCiS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED
WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL FROM THE DESIGNER. SUBMIT REQUESTS FOR
SUBSTITUTIONS WITH APPROPRIATE SUPPORT WFORMATION TO THE DESIGNER.
ALLOW REASONABLY SUFFICIENTTIME FOR THE DESIGNER TO REVIEW THE REQUEST
AND RENDER A DEQSION.
10. SCHOTf DESIGN, INC., SHALL NOT HAVE CONTROL OVER, OR BE IN CHARGE OF,
AND SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR A CONTRACTOR'S CONSTRUCTION MEANS,
METHODS, SCHEDULES, SEQUENCES, OR SAFETY. THE CONTRACTORS SHALL BE
RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINWG A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR WORKERS AND THE
PUBLIC AT ALL TIMES.
11. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL ESTABLISH WITH THE LANDLORD CLEANUP
PROCEDURES AND GUIDELWES TO BE FOLLOWED ON A DAILY BASIS IN ORDER TO
CONDUCT BUSINESS IN A SAFE AND CLEAN ENVIRONMENT.
12. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH THE LANDLORD, AN
AREA FOR STAGING OF CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT, DUMPSTER AND
PARKING CONSTRUCTION AND DELIVERY VEHICLES. THE USE OF EXISTING REST ROOM
FACILITIES SHALL BE APPROVED BY THE LANDLORD. ONLY THOSE DESIGNAiED AREAS
SHALL BE USED BY CONSTRUCTION CREWS.
13. iHE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL USE DUST PARTITIONS TO MINIMIZE
DISTURBANCES OF DAILY TENANT OPERATIONS DURWG DEMOLITION AND
CONSTRUCTION WORK. DUST PARTITIONS SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED OF 2X4 WOOD
STUDS @ 24"O.C., INSULATION AND 6 MIL VAPOR BARRIER ON EACH SIDE.
14. CONTACT THE DESIGNER IMMEDIATELY IF, IN THE FlELD, CONFLICiS ARE
DISCOVERED BETWEEN COMPONENTS OF DIFFERENT SYSTEMS THAT PREVENT THE
INSTALLATION OF THOSE COMPONENTS AS INDICATED ON THE DRAW WGS. Q.E.
WHERE EXISTING MECHANICAL DUCTWORK MAY PREVENT THE INSTALLATION OF
LIGHTING FlXTURES AS INDICATED ON THE CEILWG PLAN�.
