GENERAL NOTES:
1. M. E. - indicates match existing spot elevation; contractor shall match existing
grade at that point. See note 8 on this sheet for more information.
2. Where M.E. (match existing) is indicated on the construction plans, field
observations should be made to assure positive drainage.
3. Excess dirt to be stockpiled in areas as designated by the developer.
4. Do not scale from these plans for survey field locations.
5. Check the benchmark with existing grades and existing topography before
beginning construction. Any discrepancies must be reported to the engineer
immediately.
G. Before any eorthwork is performed, the contractor is responsible for locating all
existing utilities within, or bordering, the project.
7. A preconstruction meeting should be conducted to establish construction limits to
maintain the integrity of the project throughout the construction phases.
