Petitioner seeks several Developmental Standards Variances of the Sign Ordinance. The
site is located at 10585 North Michigan Road. The site is zoned B-3/business and is
located within the US 421 Overlay Zone.

V-181-00 ZO 25.7.02-7(c)(1) to allow a 31-sq.-ft. ground sign

The Plan Commission approved Docket No. 172-00 ADLS Amend at the January 16,
2001, meeting. As part of the approval, the Commission approved a revised design for the
ground sign conditioned upon its meeting the he requirements of Sign Chart B.
The Department recommends favorable consideration of these petitions consistent with
the Plan Commission's approval.

Petitioner seeks Special Use approval in order to establish a pharmacy for Osco Drug on
1.68± acres. The site is located at 5790 East 131" Street. The site is zoned
B-3/business.

Petitioner seeks Developmental Standards Variances of Sections 25.7.02-7(c)(ii):
Maximum Sign Area (increase from 40-square-foot maximum to 76.17 square feet) and
25.7.02-7(d): Maximum Height of Ground Sign (increase from 8-foot maximum to 9'
4.125"). The site is located at 10650 North Michigan Road. The site is zoned
B-3/business and is located within the US 421 Overlay Zone.
At the January 16, 2001, meeting of the Plan Commission, the ADLS Amendment
petition for this property was returned to the Special Study Committee for further review at the
petitioner's request. Therefore, consistent with the wishes of the Plan Commission and the
Board of Zoning Appeals, these Items are tabled to the February 26, 2001, agenda of the Board
of Zoning Appeals, pending resolution of the ADLS_

Petitioner seeks a Developmental Standards Variance of Section 25.7.02-9(c): Maximum
Sign Area in order to exceed the 95-square-foot maximum by establishing a
110.25-square-foot wall identification sign.
The Department recommends negative consideration of this petition.

Petitioner seeks to amend the lifeguarding commitment made as part of the Board's
approval (Docket No. SU-37-99; approved August 23, 1999) of the amenity area. The
site is located at 12474 Dellfield Boulevard West. The site is zoned S-1/residence.
2h. Parkwood Crossing, Building 1 —Verizon Wireless (V-222-00)
Petitioner seeks a Developmental Standards Variance of Section 25.7.02-10(b): Number
& Type in order to establish a sign on a facade that does not front a public right-of-way.
The site is located at 250 East 96th Street. The site is zoned B-6/business.
The Board tabled this Item at the January 8, 2001, meeting in order to give the petitioner
time to develop a lighting plan for the buildings' internal lights.
