RECENT PROJECTS
Jobs: Working with TweetMyJobs, developers of new web-based application built
for cities and towns specifically for computers, phones and tablets, to bring the
service to Carmel. The App is designed to connect local companies in need of
employees with job-seekers both locally and from around the nation with a
convenient and easy to use system.
Tourism: Consulting with staff and Bluebridge to finalize a new web-based
application for phones and tablets designed to more easily connect local
restaurants, businesses and events with visitors and residents seeking updated
and up-to-the-minute information as they visit Carmel.
Economic Development: Continuing to research and develop new community
project designed to reach CEO's, executives, site-selectors and others with
accurate information about Carmel and its diverse offering of attributes. A social
media campaign is in the works, in conjunction with a volunteer community

>>> Consulted with Suzanne H. Crowhurst Lennard, Director, International Making
Cities Livable Conferences LLC to research background and historic materials from
previous conferences to enhance local economic development efforts.
>>> Researched current state of ownership and leasing proposals at several
currently available properties in Carmel to help assist with attempts to draw more
business to Carmel.

>>> Working with a local real estate professional regarding the future
development of a prime piece of property off Keystone Parkway.
>>> Consult with Mayor and other city officials regarding the current needs of a
local company.
>>> Worked with the IEDC on major press conference announcing new jobs for
Kokomo and Carmel. Systems in Motion.
>>> Began working with Google on a proposed new "Get Your Business on the
Map" program that kicks off this fall. Exploring its application to Carmel and local
businesses.
>>>Working with Indy Partnership and Pedcor to supply information for a
prospective business looking for land to develop commercially on the Northside
of Indy or Carmel.
>>> Worked with a site selector and local realtors to explore options for a
California based company looking at a possible move to Carmel for its HQ.
>>> Met with owner of a Zionsville business exploring a move to Carmel. Assisting
in helping to find a suitable location.
>>> Meeting with a_local pilot, to discuss potential use of a quad copter for
filming purposes related to economic development efforts.
>>> Researched and compiled economic development materials sent to San
Diego business exploring a move to Carmel.
>>> Met with national site selector Don Schjeldahl to discuss benefits of doing
business in Carmel, available properties, etc. Joint meeting with Invest Hamilton
County officials.
Ongoing project updates: Working closely with video production crews to
produce scripts, filming schedules and other matters for Savor Indiana project
that will highlight Carmel to a broad audience for tourism and economic
development purposes. Also continuing to work on scripts for new Economic
Development video project; and continued monitoring of new ways to use the
power of the internet and social media to portray Carmel in a positive light to
those who seek information.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PLANNING AND STRATEGY
Carmel Redevelopment Commission: Working with executive director Corrie
Meyer on a variety of new initiatives designed to further the CRC mission of
redevelopment in Carmel; including community relations, media relations, social
media outreach, research and consultation.
Invest Hamilton County: Continued work as city of Carmel representative with
leaders of Invest Hamilton County on a variety of economic development and
marketing projects. Compiled information (best of lists) as part of working with
Invest Hamilton County and Sarah Buckner
Visit Hamilton County Continue to work with officials at Visit Hamilton County on
new and ongoing initiatives designed to expand outreach to new audiences and
grow the number of tourists in Carmel.
Media and Press Conferences: Assisted staff with various media relations, press
conferences and news releases. In addition, provided consultation, background
information and assistance for media requests from the following: The New York
Times, Huffington Post, Indianapolis Star, Current, IBJ, Hamilton County Business
Magazine, Governing Magazine, Associated Press, Bloomberg News and others.
