Petitioner seeks favorable recommendation of a rezone from the R-1/residence district
to a PUD/planned unit development district on 1.920± acres. The site is located on the
northwest corner of East 96th Street and the Carmel/Clay Monon Greenway. The site
is zoned R-1/residence.
The Department recommends that this Item be forwarded to Committee on April
3, 2001.

Petitioner seeks favorable recommendation of a rezone from the R-1/residence district
to a PUD/planned unit development district on 20.5± acres. The site is located
northwest of East 96th Street and North College Avenue. The site is zoned R-
1/residence.
The Department recommends that this Item be forwarded to Committee on April

Development Plan and Architectural Design, Lighting, Landscaping & Signage
applications for Meridian Hotel Partners. The petitioner seeks approval to
construct a 57,500-square-foot hotel on 4.066± acres. The site is located at 1460
West Main Street (northeast corner of East 131St Street and North Meridian
Street) The site is zoned S-2/residence within the U.S. 31 Overlay Zone.

Petitioner seeks Architectural Design, Lighting, Landscaping& Signage approval for a
pharmacy The site is located at 5790 East 131St Street. The site is zoned B-
3/business.
At the March 6, 2001, meeting of the Special Study Committee, the following
Conditions of Approval were specified:
1 conventional brick to replace brick inlay
2 no ground sign adjacent to roundabout
3. off-site landscaping to screen loading area from west
4. rooftop HVAC not to be visible
5. store not to be open 24 hours
6. lights to dim after hours
7. no illumination of cupola
8. controlled lighting intensity
9. no outdoor storage.
The Urban Forester is drafting a letter suggesting possible ways to amend the
Landscape Plan to accommodate the additional five feet of right-of-way required along
East 131s t Street.
The Urban Forester has requested clarification on one of the notes on the
Landscape Plan regarding replacement of plant materials.
The Department recommends favorable consideration of this petition.
