Dear Property Owner:
Attached to this letter is a notice of a forthcoming meeting of the Carmel Board of
Zoning Appeals to be held on Monday, August 25, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. in the Carmel City Hall,
Council Chamber. St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana, LLC is requesting a Use Variance to
allow the construction of a Private Helicopter Landing Facility (helipad) and Development
Standards Variances to the Carmel Zoning Ordinance for minimum tract size, perimeter
bufferyard landscaping requirements, U.S. Highway 31 Corridor Overlay Zone landscaping
requirements, and protection of existing trees to support the construction of a new Private
Helicopter Landing Facility on real estate located on the northwest corner of U.S. Highway
31/Meridian Street and I-465. I have enclosed the formal Notice of Public Hearing and a map for
your use and reference.
This is a public hearing and you may want to attend; however, your attendance is not
required. If you have any questions or would like any additional information, please feel free to
call the undersigned.

Notice is hereby given that the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals, at a regular meeting on
Monday, the 25`h day of August, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chamber, 1 Civic
Square, Carmel, Indiana 46032, will hold a Public Hearing upon the applications for a Use
Variance to allow the construction of a Private Helicopter Landing Facility (helipad) and
Development Standards Variances to the Carmel Zoning Ordinance for minimum tract size,
landscaping requirements, and protection of existing trees. The proposed helipad is to be
constructed on real estate generally located on the northwest corner of U.S. Highway
31/Meridian Street and I-465.
The applications and supplementary documentation may be viewed at the City of Cannel
Department of Community Services, One Civic Square, Cannel, Indiana 46032. All interested
persons desiring to present their views on the above application, either in writing or verbally,
will be given an opportunity to be heard at the above-mentioned time and place, or may file
written comments with the Department of Community Services prior to the hearing. The hearing
may be continued from time to time as may be found necessary.
