Before starting any construction activity, a pre-construction meeting must be scheduled and held with Dan Greskamp at dgreskamp@carmel.in.gov or 317-571-2307. Please make sure a right of way permit has been obtained from Fred Glaser in our department before the pre-con is held and submit the recorded title sheet of the O&M manual as soon as possible. The correct occupant load factor to be used on a grade floor is 30, per table 1004.1.1 of the 2008 Indiana Fire and Building codes. This will make the occupant load 94 and will require a second exit from the mercantile area per section 1015.1 of the IBC/IFC.
