We've met with the low bidder to evaluate the bid, scope of work, and schedule. We recommend awarding the contract to the low bidder, Calumet Asphalt Paving Co., Inc. in the amount of$175,000. The budget for this project is $275,593. Adding $175,000 bid, 5% construction management fee, $20,840 for general conditions, and$2,820 for Pre-construction brings the total to $207,410. This is within our budget and allows $68,183 available for contingency. NOTICE TO BIDDERS City of Carmel, Indiana Notice is hereby given that the Carmel Redevelopment Commission for the City of Carmel, Hamilton County, Indiana will receive sealed bids for the Carmel Street Extension — Parcel 25 Project at the office of the Department of Community Services, Third Floor, Carmel City Hall, I Civic Square, Cannel, Indiana, 46032, until 7:30 a.m. EDT on or before October 2, 2006. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 7:30 a.m. EDT on October 2, 2006, at the meeting of the Carmel Redevelopment Commission, in the Conference Room at the office of the Department of Community Services, located on the 3rd floor of City Hall. Bids will he taken under advisement. No Late Bids will be accepted. All bids and proposals shall he properly and completely executed on the proposal forms provided with the drawings and specifications which will include the non-collusion affidavit as required by the State of Indiana.
