NOTICE TO BIDDERS (REVISED July 25,20061 City of Cannel, Indiana Notice is hereby given that the Carmel Redevelopment Commission for the City of Carmel, Hamilton County, Indiana will receive sealed bids for the Parcel 45 Rotary Plaza Stairs and Parcel 46 Rotary Plaza Fountain Projects at the office of the Department of Community Services, Third Floor, Carmel City Hall, One Civic Square, Carmel, Indiana, 46032, until 5:00 p.m. EDT on or before August 21, 2006. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the meeting of the Carmel Redevelopment Commission on August 22nd, 2006, in the Department of Community Services Conference Room, located on the third floor of City Hall at 7:30 a.m. No late bids will be accepted. Bids will be taken under advisement. All bids and proposals shall be properly and completely executed on the proposal forms provided with the drawings and specifications which will include the non-collusion affidavit as required by the State of Indiana. The bid envelope must be sealed and have one of the following labels on the lower left corner, according to which Project Bid is in the envelope: "BID — CONTRACT 'A' — PARCEL 45 ROTARY PLAZA STAIRS" "BID — CONTRACT 'B' — PARCEL 46 ROTARY PLAZA FOUNTAIN" A bid bond will not be required. A one hundred percent (100%) performance and payment bond will be required of the successful bidder upon execution of the Contract. It is intended that actual construction of all work divisions shall be started as soon as practicable, and each bidder shall be prepared to enter promptly into a construction contract, furnish a performance and labor and material payment bond, and begin work when authorized by the Owner in the event the award is made. The Project consists generally of, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: ROTARY PLAZA STAIRS Contract 'A' - Parcel 45 Rotary Plaza Stairs: The general scope of the Parcel 45 Work consists of demolition and clearing of an area of landscaping, including the relocation of an electrical panel and an irrigation device, and the construction of new concrete stairs with metal railing and associated landscaping. Contract 'B' - Parcel 46 Rotary Plaza Fountain; The general scope of the Parcel 46 Work consists of demolition of the existing fountain and installation of a new fountain. Contract Documents for the Project may be examined at the following locations: CSO Schenkel Shultz Reed Construction Data, Inc. 280 E. 96th Street, Suite 200 5804 W. 74th Street Indianapolis, IN 46240 Indianapolis, IN 46278 Copies of such drawings and project manuals must be obtained from CSO Schenkel Shultz at the address stated above, upon the payment of $50.00 for each set. Payment must be by check. NO CASH ACCEPTED. Make checks payable to CSO Schenkel Shultz. All payments and costs of Contract Documents are non-refundable. Bidders shall assure that they have obtained complete sets of drawings and Contract Documents and shall assume the risk of any errors or omissions in bids prepared in reliance on incomplete sets of drawings and Contract Documents. This Project will be funded by the Carmel Redevelopment Commission. The Construction Manager acting as agent to the Owner for the project is Keystone Construction, 47 South Pennsylvania Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204. Wage rates for the Project shall not be less than the current prescribed scale of wages as determined by the Common Construction Wage Committee in accordance with I.C. 5-16-7 and included in the Project Manual, A pre-bid conference for discussions of the Project, the bidding requirements and other important matters will be held on August 2, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. EDT at CSO Schenkel Shultz, 280 East 96th Street, Suite 200, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46240. All prospective bidders are invited to attend the pre-bid conference. The pre-bid conference is not mandatory. No bidder may withdraw any bid or proposal within a period of ninety (90) days following the date set for receiving bids or proposals. The Carmel Redevelopment Commission reserves the right to hold any or all bids or proposals for a period of not more than ninety (90) days and said bids or proposal shall remain in full force and effect during said period.
