Submit shop drawings for a complete and functional retrofit to the existing irrigation system and for a complete and functional new irrigation system, as indicated on plans. System to provide head to head spacing in turf areas and drip line in beds with 100% coverage, within areas as shown on irrigation plan. See specifications. 2. Locate all valves and quick couplers on the inside edge of all shrub beds where practical. Install valve boxes for both quick couplers and valves. Fill all Valve Boxes with pea gravel. 3. Comply with all local irrigation codes and regulations required by the City or County. 4. Secure and pay for all permits, fees and inspections necessary for execution of this work. 5. Obtain owner representative's approval of pipe trench and line layout prior to installation. 6. Confirm all quantities. Supply sufficient quantities to provide complete and functional irrigation. 7. Route all irrigation lines around existing plant material taking extreme caution not to sever roots and root balls. 8. All irrigation pipe shall be 1". All irrigation laterals to be class 160 PVC and all irrigation mainlines to be schedule 40 PVC. 9. Underpavement sleeves to be provided by concrete contractor. Contractor to indicate all required location as part of shop drawings, work to be coordinated in field with Owner's Representative. 10. Contractor to field test water pressure and notify Owner of results 11. Contractor responsible for hook up to existing water service. 12. Irrigate lawn with 4" pop up spray heads and rotors, as applicable. 13. Provide meter, RPZ backflow preventer and all other necessary plumbing as needed to make necessary modifications to existing sytem. 14. Supply weatherproof controller cabinet, mounted near electrical panel. Provide two free zones for future expansion. 16. Ensure that sprinkler heads do not spray walls, walks or pedestrian and vehicular surfaces. Do not place sprinkler heads on public property. 17. Provide Owner as-built drawings, parts list, and maintenance manual as part of close-out procedures. 18. Coordinate all work with other trades. 19. Refer to Specification for additional information.
