Notice is hereby given that the Board of Public Works and Safety for the City of Carmel, Hamilton County, Indiana.
will receive sealed bids for "2012 Mowing Project ", at the office of the Clerk Treasurer, One Civic Square, Cannel,
Indiana (City Hall) until 10:00 a.m. Local Time on or before Wednesday, February 1, 2012, and commencing as
soon as practicable thereafter during the Board of Public Works Meeting on the same date. Such bids will be
publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Chambers of City Hall. No late bids will be accepted.,
All bids and proposals shall be properly and completely executed on the proposal forms provided with the plans and
specifications, and shall include the non - collusion affidavit required by the State of Indiana. The bid envelope must
be sealed and have the following words only written in ink on the outside of the envelope:

A pre -bid conference to discuss the Project, the bidding requirements and other important and related matters will
be held on Tuesday, January 24` ", 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Carmel Street Department, 3400 W. 131st Street, Carmel,
IN 46074. All prospective bidders are required to attend the pre -bid conference. The pre -bid conference is
mandatory.
*Important: As a guideline, if you do not have the equipment and manpower to mow and
trim Hazel Dell Parkway in one and a half (1 %z) days, you should not bid this project!
General Form No. 96 must be completed and filed as a part of the bid package. All bids are to be sealed with the
word "BID — 2012 MOWING" on the lower left hand corner of the envelope. Bids will be opened and read aloud
at 10:00 a.m. on February I", 2012 at the Board of Public Works and Safety meeting on the 2id floor of Cannel City
Hall, Once Civic Square, Carmel, IN. All persons interested in bidding shall register a contact name and address
with the Street Department to ensure that all changes or questions and answers are available for review by all

bids or proposals. The Carmel Board of Public Works and Safety resents the right to hold any or all bids and
proposals for a period of not more than thirty (30) days, such bids and proposals to remain in full force and effect
during said time period. The City of Carmel reserves the right to reject and /or cancel any and all bids, solicitations
and /or offers in whole or in pan as specified in the solicitation for bids when, in the City's sole discretion, it believes

treatment required by the Project, plus 1,300 cubic yards of non- palletized,
minimum Grade A shredded black dyed bark mulch to put around trees in the
Project area, plus 3 spraying treatments to control bagworm insects on affected
trees and shrubs, as well as all materials, laborers and all other personnel and
items needed to complete the Project in a timely and acceptable manner. Please
include a per acre price for all mowing.
The undersigned Bidder proposes to furnish all necessary labor, machinery, tools,
apparatus, materials, equipment, service and other necessary supplies, and to perform
and fulfill all obligations incident thereto in strict accordance.. with and within the

2.1 Project Bid.
The bid price shall be calculated on 28 mowings, plus all chemicals and fertilizer
treatment required by the Project, plus 1,300 cubic yards of non- palletized,
minimum Grade A shredded black dyed bark mulch to put around trees in the
Project area, plus 3 spraying treatments to control bagworm insects on affected
trees and shrubs, as well as all materials, laborers and all other personnel and
items needed to complete the Project in a timely and acceptable manner. Please
include a per acre price for all mowing.
The undersigned Bidder proposes to furnish all necessary labor, machinery, tools,
apparatus, materials, equipment, service and other necessary supplies, and to perform
and fulfill all obligations incident thereto in strict accordance with and within the
time(s) provided by the terms and conditions of the Contract Documents for the
above described project, including any and all addenda thereto, for the total sum of

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Public Works and Safety for the City of Carmel. Hamilton County. Indiana,
will receive sealed bids, during regular business hours, up to, but not later than 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, February
1='.'012.
All bids and proposals shall be properly and completely executed on the proposal forms pro\ idea with the plans and
specifications, and shall include the non- collusion affidavit required by the State of Indiana. The bid envelope must
be sealed and have the following words only written in ink on the outside of the envelope:

Project manuals may be obtained from the Cannel Street Department, 3400 W. 131st Street, Cannel, TN 46074.
A pre -bid conference to discuss the Project, the bidding requirements and other important and related matters will
be held on Tuesday. January 24`h, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Carmel Street Department, 3400 W. 131st Street Cannel,
IN 46074. All prospective bidders are required to attend the pre -bid conference. The pre -hid conference is
mandatory.
*Important: As a guideline, if you do not have the equipment and manpower to mow and
trim Hazel Dell Parkway in one and a half (1 '/) days, you should not bid this project!
General Form No. 96 must be completed and filed as a part of the bid package. All bids are to be sealed with the
word "BID — 2012 MOWENG" on the lower left hand comer of the envelope. Bids will be opened and read aloud
at 10:00 a.m. on February 1 '. 2012 at the Board of Public Works and Safety meeting on the 2° floor of Carmel City
Hall, Once Civic Square, Carmel. FN. All persons interested in bidding shall register a contact name and address
with the Street Department to ensure that all changes or questions and answers are available for review by all
interested parties.
No bidder may withdraw any bid or proposal within a period of thirty (30) days following the date set for receiving
bids or proposals. The Cannel Board of Public Works and Safety reserves the right to bold any or all bids and
proposals for a period of not more than thirty (30) days, such bids and proposals to remain in full force and effect
during said time period. The City of Carmel reserves the right to reject and/or cancel any and all bids, solicitations
and /or offers in whole or in part as specified in the solicitation for bids when, in the CAN'S sole discretion, it believes
that it is in the best interests of the City to do so, as determined by the purchasing agency in accordance with IC 5-
22-15-2.
