The applicant seeks the following development standard variance for a new pool:
Docket No. 14090003 V ZO CH 25.01.01.C.8.a.iii: 3 ft. Min. Pool Setback from Easement, pool requested in
landscape easement
The site is located at 14071 Triple Crown Drive and is zoned S- 1/ROSO I. Filed by Christopher and Jennifer Clouse,
owners.
Mr. Dierckman had thoroughly reviewed Department Report and Packet information.
Present for Petitioner:
Jennifer and Christopher Clouse
• Received verbal approval from HOA on Wednesday, September 17
o Submitted copy of letter received today
• HOA will be abandoning part of landscape easement to be equal with 20 -foot drainage easement
o In future variance would not be needed

for pool requested in landscape easement (3 feet minimum setback from easement required).
Mr. Dierckman had thoroughly reviewed Depai ttuent Report and Packet information.
2. (V) Wichman Accessory Structure, 721 1st Ave NW
The applicant seeks the following development standard variance for an accessory structure:
Docket No. 14090004 V ZO CH 25.01.01.B.1: 18 ft. Max Height, 20 ft. requested
The site is located at 721 1 st Ave NW. It is zoned R -2 /Residence within the Old Town Overlay Character Subarea.
Filed by Justin Moffett of The Old Town Design Group, on behalf of David & Cindy Wichman, owners.
Present for Petitioner:
Justin Moffett
• Building accessory structure as servants' quarters
o Used for quarters to house people that would care for them long -term as they age
o Complimentary to new home being built
• Additional two feet needed to fit square footage and head height on second level
• Home immediately north of this one also received a variance for their garage
Public Hearing closed
Department Report:
Alexia Lopez
• Only two feet higher than permitted
• Will match design of home
• Set back from street and rear and side yards
Department supported the variance
Action: Mr. Dierckman APPROVED Docket No. 14090004 V, Wichman Accessory Structure, 721 1st
Avenue NW, for maximum height (18 feet allowed, 20 feet requested).
