Notice is hereby given that the Cannel Redevelopment Commission for the City of Cannel, 1-lamilton County, Indiana will receive
sealed bids for Parcel #48 — District Gateway Site 4 Project at die office of the Department of Community Services, Third Floor,
Carmel City Hall, 1 Civic Square, Cannel, Indiana, 46032, until 5:00 p.m. EST on or before November 21,2006. Rids will be
publicly opened and read aloud at the meeting of the Cannel Redevelopment Commission which will be in the Caucus Room located
on the second floor of City Hall at 7:00 p.m. No late bids will he accepted, Bids will he taken under advisement,
The Work will be constructed under multiple prime contracts as follows:
Conlraet No. 1: Concrete and General Construction
Contract No. 2: Masonry
Contract No. 3: Steel
Contract No. 4: Signage
Contract Na.5: Electrical
All bids and proposals shall be properly and completely executed on the proposal forms provided with the drawings and specifications
which will include the non-collusion affidavit as required by the State of Indiana. The bid envelope must be sealed and have the label
required in the Instructions to Bidders on the lower left corner,according to which Contract Category is in the envelope.
A bid bond will not be required. A one hundred percent(100%)performance and payment bond will he required of the successful
bidder upon execution of the Contract. It is intended that actual construction of all work divisions shall be started as soon as
practicable,and each bidder shall he prepared to enter promptly into a construction contract, furnish a performance and labor and
material payment bond, and begin work when authorized by the Owner in the event the award is made.
The Project consists generally of, but is not necessarily limited to, the following:
Parcel#48,Cannel Arts and Design District Gateway—Site 4:
The general scope of the Project consists of two masonry-clad concrete towers supporting a custom steel truss upon which is
placed the lighted gateway signage.

Copies of such drawings and project manuals must be obtained from CSO Schenkel Shultz at the address stated above, upon the
payment of$50.00 for each sot. Payment must he by check. NO CASH ACCEPTED. Make checks payable to CSO Schenkel Shultz_
All payments and costs of Contract Documents are non-refundable.
Bidders shall assure that they have obtained complete sets of drawings and Contract Documents and shall assume the risk of any
errors or omissions in bids prepared in reliance on incomplete sets of drawings and Contract Documents.
This Project will he funded by the Carmel Redevelopment Commission.
The Construction Manager acting as agent to the Owner for the project is Shiel Sexton Company, Inc,, 902 North Capitol Avenue,
Indianapolis, hndiana 46204.
Wage rates for the Project shall not be less than the current prescribed scale of wages as determined by the Common Construction
Wage Committee in accordance with I.C. 5-16-7 and included in the Project Manual.
A pre-bid conference for discussions of the Project, the bidding requirements and other important matters will be held on November
14, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. EST at CSO Schenkel Shultz, 280 East 96`h Street, Suite 200, Indianapolis, Indiana. 46240. All prospective
bidders are invited to attend the pre-hid conference. The pre-bid conference is not mandatory.
No bidder may withdraw any hid or proposal within a period of ninety(90)days following the date set for receiving bids or proposals.
The Carmel Redevelopment Commission reserves the right to hold any or all bids or proposals for a period of not more than ninety
(90)days and said bids or proposal shall remain in full force and effect during said period. The Carmel Redevelopment Commission
reserves the right to reject and/or cancel any and all bids,solicitations and/or offers in whole or in part as specified in the solicitations
when it is not in the best interests of the governmental body as determined by the purchasing agency in accordance with IC 5-22-18-2
