Building wire and cable. B. Metal clad cable. 1.02 RELATED SECTIONS A. Section 260535 – Conduit and tubing. 1.03 REFERENCES A. ANSI/NFPA 70 – National Electric Code. 1.04 SUBMITTALS A. Submittals are required for all materials specified herein in accordance with Specification Section 01300. B. Product Data: Provide for each cable assembly type. 1.05 PROJECT CONDITIONS A. Verify field dimensions. B. Conductor sizes are based on copper. C. Wire and cable routing indicated on the Contract Drawings is approximate unless dimensioned. Route wire and cable as required to meet project conditions. D. Where wire and cable routing is not shown, and destination only is indicated, determine exact routing and lengths required. PART 2 - PRODUCTS 2.01 MANUFACTURERS – BUILDING WIRE AND CABLE A. U.L. Listed manufacturer only 2.02 FEEDER WIRING A. All conductors shall be copper with type THHN/THWN or XHHW insulation rated at 600 volts and shall be sized as indicated on the Drawings. B. All wiring shall be stranded. C. No stranded conductors may be terminated under a screw head. Provide insulated terminal lugs. Where indicated, circuits to various panels may be combined in common raceway 3.02 FEEDER INSTALLATION A. Provide feeder identification at all boxes, fittings and wireways. B. Arrange for fireproofing around feeder raceways through floors or walls to maintain building integrity. C. All feeders shall be continuous, without splices, from point of origin to termination at equipment. D. Feeders: Circuit conductors between the service equipment or the source of a separately derived power and the final branch-circuit over-current device must be installed in conduit. MC cable is not acceptable for feeders. END OF SECTION
