Verify field dimension. B. Verify routing and termination locations of conduit prior to rough -in. C. Conduit routing is indicated in approximate locations unless dimensioned. Route as required to complete wiring system. D. Provide conduit raceways for all electrical systems as required or as indicated. PART 2 - PRODUCTS 2.01 CONDUIT REQUIREMENTS A. Minimum Size: 3/4 inch unless otherwise specified. B. Rigid steel conduit shall conform to ANSI #C80.1, fittings shall conform to ANSI/NEMA FBI threaded type. C. Rigid nonmetallic conduit, PVC SCH40 shall comply with NEMA TC -2 fittings and bodies shall conform to NEMA TC-3. D. Secondary service raceways ; 1. Underground from transformer pad to within 5'-0" of building wall shall be PVC SCH40. 2. Underground from 5'-0" away through building wall and or foundations, including all elbows shall be rigid galvanized steel conduit. E. Rigid Steel Conduit connectors and couplings; 1. Standard threaded couplings, locknuts, bushings and elbows. 2. Bushings shall have an insulating molded insert and shall be the bonding type. 3. Sealing fitting shall be the threaded cast iron type. F. Terminations of all metallic raceways shall have insu lated throat. PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.01 INSTALLATION A. All conduit and tubing shall run parallel and perpendicular to wall and roof framing members. Conduit and tubing installed below slabs shall run in straight lines from source to destination. B. All conduit below floor slab s on grade shall be run in sub -floor below floor, not in floor pour a minimum of 16” below top of slab . Maximum size raceways in poured concrete structural slabs on the mezzanine shall be 1" maximum, only with approval of the Construction Representative. All conduits larger than 1" shall run below the floor structure. C. Coordinate raceways routing to avoid other trades work. D. Provide seals when passing from cold to warm environments. Use silicone sealant around boxes and exterior of raceway and sealing compo und or foam-in-place sealant within raceway. Dux seal will not be acceptable as sealing material.
