Pilot Talent Attraction: Second meeting of the Tactical Economic
Development group from Invest Hamilton County convened at Main Street
offices with special Corporate guests that included three executives with
American Specialty Health and one from Allied Solutions. Corporate guests
from Noblesville were also present, along with the steering committee that
includes Tim Monger and Christy Lugo. Also present were Economic
Development representatives from Noblesville, Fishers, Westfield, the
IEDC and Citizens Energy. The focus of this meeting was exploring a new
program designed to help local businesses attract the best talent possible
for their job openings. This will be an ongoing project.
Job openings: During the above meeting, discussion was held
regarding local businesses needing to fill many job openings. Invest
Hamilton County expressed a willingness to assist ASH, Allied Solutions,
GEICO and other companies in need of front-end and skilled employees by
way of job fairs, targeted advertising and other methods — including social
media — to help circulate the news and bring in qualified employees.

Joe's Auto Shop: Continued correspondence with Joe Peil, owner,
about concerns related to highway construction and local street work near,

work on Main Street to the spring, relieving Joe's immediate desire for
directional signage. We will be back in touch with this business and others

Main Street construction begins.
