Race Details: Running Route Descriptions
Adult Run Route Description
Runners will go out the west side of the high school using the large paved
path on the side of the driveway, then take a short path to a
neighborhood to the west of the school. The route winds through that
neighborhood, then crosses Main street in front of the school and goes
through another neighborhood to the southeast corner of the school.
The route then returns along the east side of the school to the finish
area. The last quarter mile of the run is downhill. The neighborhoods
that the run route goes through are both quiet with very little traffic,
though they will not be completely closed to traffic during the race. A
water stop will be located approximately halfway through the run, and will
provide runners with water and sports drink.
• Exit Carmel High School on the west side, first using the
driveway and then the paved path on the right side of the
driveway as soon as it is available.
• About half -way up the hill from the high school, go right on the
dirt path from the paved path. This path is not paved and may be
somewhat rough, though it is only about 25 yards.
