The route winds through that neighborhood, then crosses Main street in front of the school and goes through another neighborhood to the southeast corner of the school. The route then returns along the east side of the school to the finish area. The last quarter mile of the run is downhill. The neighborhoods that the run route goes through are both quiet with very little traffic, though they will not be completely closed to traffic during the race. A water stop will be located approximately halfway through the run, and will provide runners with water and sports drink. • Exit Carmel High School on the west side, first using the driveway and then the paved path on the right side of the driveway as soon as it is available. • About half -way up the hill from the high school, go right on the dirt path from the paved path. This path is not paved and may be somewhat rough, though it is only about 25 yards. • Turn right on Audubon Drive, and follow this as it curves to the left. • Turn left on 2 "d Avenue NE • Turn left on 2 "d Street NE • Turn right on 4th Avenue NE • Cross Main Street then turn right on CarmelView Drive (after the library) • Follow Carmel View Drive until it circles back to 4th Avenue NE • Left on 4th Avenue NE • Turn right on Main Street and run in front of the high school • Turn right on Lexington Blvd, at the southeast end of the school • Turn left on Concord Lane • Take an immediate left on Concord Place • Turn left on Altam Avenue • Turn right back on to Lexington Blvd • Cross Main Street and follow 5th Avenue NE along the east side of the school to the finish area Youth Run Route Description The youth course is an out - and -back course that runs along the south /east side of the school. Volunteers will be stationed at the turn- around to keep the kids on track. Leave the transition area and go south (right) up the hill on the east side of the High School. Cross Main St Alta Avenue and take the some rouge Turnaround at A back to the finish area. Transition Description The transition to the bike leg for all triathletes will occur just outside the high school building in front of the Field House.
