Subject:Woodhall Subdivision Request
Date:Sunday, April 26, 2015 1:45:45 PM
Maggie Crediford: Would you please distribute this to all the BZA Board members prior to the April
27 hearing in this matter? Thank you for your time in doing so.
We live in Windemere, which abuts the Woodhall subdivision. We object to the request made on
behalf of Pulte homes for a number of variances. We object due to these reasons:
1. The proposed variances are extremely inconsistent with the original development plan and
would provide for 14 homesites instead of 9 or less as was originally represented. This will
totally change the sizes and qualities of the homes to be built and will devalue the homes in
nearby neighborhoods.
2. These variances are being requested without the usual review and input process provided
by Plan Commission hearings, committee meetings, Council hearings, etc. There is no good
reason to avoid the usual safeguards.
3. This would set a terrible and dangerous precedent, working to the detriment of Carmel
homeowners. Developers would customarily avoid the safeguards not in place if this
procedure would be allowed.
We ask that these variances not be allowed and that Pulte be made follow the usual and customary
process already in place.
