Re: Interconnection with
Hamilton -Western Utilities
Dear Dottie:
Enclosed is a copy of the letter of understanding with Hamilton
Western Utilities signed by Mr. Wilfong June 17th.
On behalf of the City of Carmel, we requested quotations from
contractors for installation of the main. Three quotations were
received. The quotations were:
Eagle Valley Construction Corp. - $ 19,674.29
Bowen Engineering - $ 19,750.00
Central Engineering & Const. Corp. - $ 19,918.00
After review with Mr. Dougherty we have contacted Eagle Valley
Construction Corp. and advised them we would like the work done
next week. They have confirmed it will take 1-2 days to get the
pipe and three days to install.
I have contacted Mr. Wright again to request a letter confirming
the City's permission to install the main and that easements
will be included in the final plat. He has committed to doing
so and will send a letter as soon as possible.
The Indiana Department of Environmental Management has given
verbal approval to make the connection and has indicated they
will consider waiving test requirements on the finished line to
allow it to be put on line immediately.
Accordingly, we should have the connection on line by June 24.
Very truly yours,
