After reviewing the plat the Highway Department has the following comments: 1. An Application for Project Review must be completed and the appropriate review fees paid prior to any approvals from this office. The application is available on the County Website. 2. Right-of-Way for 146th Street is an 85’ half within 500’ of the intersection of Gray Road, a 75’ half beyond 500’ and a corner cut with two 35’ legs at the intersection. Please label the existing R/W and show the proposed. 3. No approvals will be given until such time as access to 146th Street is granted by the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners and all plans meet County Standards. Please see the attached requirements for 146th Street access. 4. Eliminate the connection to the 146th Street path in front of the proposed gas station. A suitable location can be determined at a later date. 5. A modified Type G – ADA ramp may be used at the entrance on 146th Street. The modification is in the orientation of the detectable warnings, which should be perpendicular to the crossing. 6. Please note that arrows, arrows with “ONLY”, stop bars and crosswalk markings are to be 3M 270 ES preformed tape within the R/W of 146th Street. All others are to be thermoplastic. 7. Minimum deceleration lane length is 150’ with a 100’ taper. Due to the grade of 146th Street in this location, both lengths will likely increase. 8. Include the 146th Street standard details sheet on the primary plat. All R/W improvements for 146th Street shall reference these standards. Remove any references to Carmel standards from the 146th Street improvements. 9. On Sheet C003 – please indicate that this sheet applies only to the R/W of Gray Road. This sheet does not apply to the 146th Street R/W. 10. A raised channelization island (Pork Chop) will be required at the right-in/right-out access. 11. Please add the following note: Decorative signs, sprinkler systems, trees, landscaping mounds, fences, light poles or other such amenities are not permitted within the R/W of 146th Street. 12.
