RECENT PROJECTS
Economic Development / Marketing
>Costar Group: Finalized contract language with Costar Group and
prepared now for launch of new web service for purpose of making detailed
information about commercial properties in Carmel available to anyone
accessing the new Economic Development web pages.
>MIBOR event: Worked with staff to plan, organize and participate in
a "Sell Your Cities" event held at the Ritz Charles with more than 100 real
estate professionals on hand to obtain information on the City and updates
on many of our ongoing projects. This is designed to give these real estate
professionals accurate and updated information so they can share with
clients looking to relocate to Carmel.
>Carmel on Canvas: Worked with city staff on Carmel on Canvas
project publicity and media relations.
>GyanSys jobs event: Worked with city staff and the IEDC to
organize a press conference celebrating a new corporate headquarters in
Carmel.
>ED Leads & Meetings: Working with Mike Hollibaugh and other city
staff to respond to a request for property research for a major
manufacturing concern and corporate headquarters. Also continue to work
with the Mayor, real estate professionals and developers to attract more
investment in Carmel.
>Econ Dvlp video series: Working with Associated Images to
produce another series of videos highlighting economic development in
Carmel.
>Indiana Chamber: Researched and worked with representatives of
the Indiana Chamber to finalize materials related to Carmel being named
the Indiana Chamber Community of the Year.
>U.S. — China Climate meeting: Worked with staff to research and
prepare materials requested by White House pertaining to gathering with
Chinese officials regarding environmental initiatives.
>City Center development: Ongoing work with Mayor and Corrie
Meyer of the CRC to discuss space issues and potential future growth and
development for a local company headquartered in the City Center area.
>IUPPI project: Ongoing research to help researchers at Indiana
University Public Policy Institute for its major study on Carmel's
performance regarding assessed value as it pertains to our redevelopment i
areas.
>Zagster expansion: Continued to work with staff and Zagster
officials to coordinate media coverage of an expansion of the Zagster bike-
sharing program in Carmel, with another major announcement coming
soon.
>Diversity at the Farmers Market: Worked with city staff and
members of the Mayor's Human Relations Commission to continue a
project to bring various cultural groups to the Carmel Farmers Market in
order to share information about their groups.
>Holiday decor: Working with staff to research, review and discuss a
variety of issues related to holiday decor in the City of Carmel.
>ED Brochure: Continued working with staff on redesign of
economic development brochure; working on both content and design. This
is an ongoing project.
>Golftown planning: Continue to work closely with city staff to plan
and help coordinate the city's "Golftown" event that will take place in 2016
in conjunction with BMW Championship golf tournament to be held at
Crooked Stick.
>Roundabout tracking: Leading the research of city roundabouts,
tracking each one, keeping the list updated and working with Engineering
Department to produce a map of each roundabout in the city.
>Destination Carmel: Continue researching photos and histories for
project in conjunction with Indiana Historical Society. Destination Carmel
will tell the story of Carmel's history and of its future development for
visitors — both local and tourists — who visit the Indiana Historical Society in
downtown Indianapolis.
>Business inventory: Constant updating of local database of
corporate headquarters and other businesses in the Arts & Design District,
City Center, other areas of the city for purposes of sharing with media, site
selectors, commercial real estate.
>New website: Continue early design phase of future Economic
Development web pages planned for city website. Researching other sites,
gathering information and input from the business community, exploring
options with web experts for future launch.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT / COMMUNITY RELATIONS
Publicity
➢ Worked with staff to answer media questions and provide
information requested by a number of sources.
➢ Worked with Carmel Fire on a number of media relations items.
➢ Worked with Street Department on getting word out about various
road closures as they occurred.
➢ Worked with Human Relations Commission on `Celebration of
Diversity' presence at the Carmel Farmer's Market.
>IndyStar Editorial Board: Worked with city staff to plan, organize
and coordinate a visit by members of the Editorial Board of The
Indianapolis Star, who toured the city and The Palladium and then
discussed a variety of issues with the Mayor.
>Carmel Caffeine Trail: Working with local business leaders to
develop plan for an official "Caffeine Trail" in the Arts & Design District and
City Center to drive tourists and local residents to Carmel's many locally-
owned and operated coffee shops and tea shops.
ONGOING PROJECTS
>Cultural Identification project: Continued to work with staff and
others on project designed to further identify various cultural and
geographically unique aspects of Carmel as a way to further enhance
attraction of economic development and visitors. This will be an ongoing
project.

>Public Art: Continued to work with consultant, staff, on potential
projects involving public art in Carmel. All projects discussed were
designed to strategically attract visitors and economic development to
Carmel. This will be an ongoing project.
>Media and Press Conferences: Worked with city staff on several
press releases and press conferences.
>Social Media: Continued to assist city officials with use of social
media to publicize and inform residents and the public on a variety of
matters.
