THE CURB AND GUTTER SHALL BE TIED TO THE PAVEMENT BY 1/2" ROUND DEFORMED BARS AT ABOUT 3 FOOT INTERVALS. IF NO CONCRETE PAVEMENT IS BEING BUILT AT THE TIME THE CURB IS CONSTRUCTED, EXPANSION JOINTS SHALL BE PLACED AT THE ENDS OF ALL RETURNS AND AT INTERVALS NOT TO EXCEED 50 FEET. CONTRACTION JOINTS ON TANGENT SECTIONS SHALL BE INSTALLED AT 10 FOOT MAX. SPACING. CONTRACTION JOINTS ON RADII SHALL BE INSTALLED AT 5 FOOT MAX. SPACING. NOTE: ALL PAVING IS TO BE COMPLETED IN ONE PAVING SEASON. The Contractor shall be responsible for verifying that all state highways, city, and county permits have been obtained by the developer prior to start of construction.
