The final went well today.
There are a few outstanding items that will be addressed this afternoon or by tomorrows inspection of the remainder of
the project.
1. Install a temporary address that is visible from Guilford until permanent signage is installed
2. Install tempered glass where required as noted at the inspection at floor 1 or board over until new glass arrives.
3. Patch holes in drywall at the ends of corridors where sprinkler heads have been raised
Wayne will be calling in for floors 2 and 3. Today, floor 1 was inspected along with all corridors, common areas and the
parking garage today.

Hello,
CFD completed a final today for the E wing which we understand incorporates permit # 12070135
We located a couple rated damper issues that stem back from the last round if inspections. I will attach pictures to refer
to.
Lecesse is taking care of these issues, and we are satisfied with the direction of the repair. Most repairs should be
completed when you arrive.
Picture 1 is located in a maintenance space E first floor. The duct was penetrating a rated ceiling. The repair is going to
be for two layers of drywall to be fitted around the duct to maintain the rating.
Picture 2 shows the required dampers inside of a flexible duct. In lieu of cutting an access, the duct comes apart for
inspection.
Picture 3 located E second floor storage where D and E meet. This shows the access open exposing the required
damper, there is a damper on both ends. The same issue on the first floor exists, however due to space limitations, they
are choosing to wrap the duct with drywall to maintain the rated corridor. (sorry no picture of this. ) however they cited
IBC 716.5.4. and say it is protected as a through penetration. We know this is outside of the CFD scope but we got
involved with Bill Hohlt and wanted to assist.
These duct issues were in various stages of repair when we left today.
There is an outstanding issue in the fire pump room with make-up air, and its compromising the proper function of the
system. This is being addressed architecturally and the solution is to be forwarded.
The temporary rate d doorways that were installed to allow for phase occupancy as well as the heat detectors associated
with these doors no longer serve a purpose as far as CFD is concerned once the final area has been released.
CFD has inspected the life safety and fire suppression and alarm systems for this building.
One final note, there is no address visible from Guilford Rd. Please address this issue with them.
Have a great Wednesday

Daren,
What does Lecesse need to do seeing as this isn’t a good time of year to plant these items in order to receive
The C of O. It does show that we have the majority of the final plan accomplished so is there a way to hold in lieu of
completion early this spring?

Wayne,
I was out today to do the landscape inspection. I found a few issues that will still need to be addressed.
• Please remove all synthetic rope/twine in the crowns of the trees. There are about a dozen or so trees with
twine in the crowns that need to be removed throughout the site.
• I have attached the overall landscape plan ‘barrington inspection’ showing areas that may be missing material
in green with a red circle around them. Please ensure that these areas are landscaped according to the plans.
Most of these are small trees or shrubs that are missing, however, some of these are there but not planted.
Feel free to call or email me for a re-inspection.

Hi Wayne, I received your message the other day regarding Barrington Section 7 fees. Do you know when you will be calling in for a final
inspection? We typically don’t calculate these fees until there has been a final called in so we don’t double-charge for any inspections.

Wayne says that DOCS approved the B wing yesterday. Were all the openings that were cut for the dampers now fitted with metal
