Myself and Fire Marshal Knott discussed the Wolfies addition project with Mr.Blanchard. This submittal
is not acceptable to the Carmel Fire Dept. There is no CDR from the State or e-mail from the state
stating if a CDR is not needed. Additionally, no life safety plan is provided and the drawings are not
designed and stamped by a design professional. All required emergency exit lighting and exit signage is
not shown. Furthermore this area is required to be protected by an automatic fire sprinkler system. The
current submittal documents are unclear as to the how the required automatic fire sprinkler protection
is to be provided in order to comply with NFPA 13 and the Indiana Fire Code.

I met w Scott this morning. He has a sprinkler/service company coming out today to start quotes check system, design...
His tune changed a bit from yesterday as he couldn’t locate all the info he thought he had, and now realizes his mistakes...
He is going to go thru all the channels and steps with the City and State and is working on plans, permits, etc...
The stop work order is posted and he has put all the chairs up and indicated he won't use the area until it is approved and inspected

Hi, Chris --
Here were my review comments that I emailed to Scott Wolf on March 17 ; they are pretty minor, but I still need responses:
1. Please submit a letter or email from the landowner showing that they approve this roof overhang for the outdoor dining area.
2. The Dept. requests that the timbers be stained or painted a darker color. Please provide a few color swatches (or photo
examples) that you think you might have the timbers stained or painted.
3. Please email us a current photo of the outdoor dining area.
4. What type of lighting will go under the overhang? Please submit photo examples or product cut sheets of the proposed lighting.

Nick printed a stop work order, I called to get owner contact and the manager said the owner was coming to town this afternoon based
on knowledge that CFD was there.
It is ready to post. I can go over and post it or meet u there @ 2 or 3. We can have him remove all tables, etc.. do not use for now
until he takes care of his responsibilities.

If that portion has not been reviewed and approved, possible stop work order or have them move out of that area until all departments
have released and inspected.
This is my .2 cents worth.
If someone has a direct contact, I can call ASAP

As far as planning/zoning goes, we were reviewing it, internally, via an ADLS Amendment application, but it was never finalized --
the owner has not yet replied to any of our review comments, and that was a few months ago.
