HomeMy WebLinkAboutPetitioner Public Notice AppealNOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THECARMEL BOARD OF ZONING APPEALSDocket Number 15110008 A NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals, will conduct a meeting on the 25th day of January, 2016, at 6:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers, Second Floor, Carmel City Hall, One Civic Square, Carmel, Indiana 46032, to hold a Public Hearing regarding an appeal to a determination made by the Director of the Department of Community Services (“Appeal of Director’s Determination”) which is identified by the Docket Number referenced above. The real estate made the subject of the Appeal of the Director’s Determination is known as the Westmont subdivision, which is located south of and adjacent to 141st Street, north of and adjacent to 136th Street, east of Towne Road and west of Ditch Road (“Westmont Real Estate”). The overall Westmont Real Estate consists of approximately 115 acres and is zoned pursuant to the Westmont PUD Ordinance No. Z-507-07. The subject lots include (i) all lots on the south side of Altair Drive west of Norland Drive, (ii) all lots on the north and west side of Norland Drive, (iii) all lots on the west side of Finnhorse Drive, and (iv) the four lots on the east side of Finnhorse Drive north of Norland Drive. A map of the subject lots is attached to the Director’s Determination letter. M/I Homes of Indiana, L.P. (“MI”) is appealing the Director’s Determination that only one (1) or one and a half (1½) story homes may be constructed on the 80’ lots within the Westmont Real Estate. MI’s Appeal of the Director’s Determination, identified with the above referenced Docket Number, and copies of the request and accompanying documentation are on file for examination at the Department of Community Services, One Civic Square, Carmel, IN 46032, telephone (317) 571-2417. All interested persons desiring to present their views on MI’s Appeal of the Director’s Determination, either in writing or verbally, will be given an opportunity to be heard at the above-mentioned time and place. Written comments filed with the Department of Community Services prior to or at the Public Hearing will be considered, and oral comments will be heard at the Public Hearing. The Public Hearing may be continued from time to time as may be found necessary.
