• Revise paragraph 2.1 A. to state:
A. Underlayment: Gypsum-cement-based, self-leveling product that can be applied in minimum uniform thickness of 1/8 inch
and that can be feathered at edges to match adjacent floor elevations.
1. Products: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide the following:
a. Maxxon Corporation; Commercial Topping.
2. Cement Binder: Gypsum or blended gypsum cement as defined by ASTM C 219.
3. Compressive Strength: Not less than 4000 psi at 28 days when tested according to ASTM C 109.
4. Density 125 pounds per cubic foot (2,000 kg/m3)
5. Underlayment Additive: Resilient-emulsion product of underlayment manufacturer, formulated for use with
underlayment when applied to substrate and conditions indicated.
• Add to paragraph 2.1 item F as follows:
F. Maxxon Reinforcement (MR), Crack Suppression Mat (CSM), or metal lathe
1. Install over subfloor in all areas set to receive Commercial Topping according to manufacturer’s specifications.
• Revise paragraph 3.4 by replacing the words “Gyp-Crete 2000/3.2K”
and “Gyp-Crete” with the words ” Commercial Topping”.
