The warranty shall cover material and water tightness of the membrane. PART 2 - PRODUCTS 2.1 ASPHALT PRIMER: AQUADERE 09D A. Primer shall be applied to all areas of the substrate which are to receive membrane at an average rate of 1 gal. per 100 to 200 sq. ft. Primer may be installed by brush roller or spray. Primer shall be applied per manufacturer’s recommendations. Porous concrete may require additional primer. 2.2 MEMBRANE: SOPRALENE FLAM 180 BASE PLY A. Membrane shall have a non-woven polyester reinforcement and thermo-fusible elastomeric asphalt. Both sides shall be protected by a thermo-fusible plastic film with an average thickness of 120 mils. B. Components 1. Reinforcement: non-woven polyester, 180 g/m2. 2. Thermo-fusible elastomeric asphalt: mix of selected bitumen and SBS thermo-plastic polymer. 2.3 ADHESIVE A. HV3 adhesive supplied by membrane manufacturer. PART 3 - EXECUTION EXAMINATION A. Installing Contractor shall examine substrates, areas, and conditions, with Installer present, for compliance with requirements and other conditions affecting performance and submit to the Construction Manager or Architect in writing, that all substrates, areas, and conditions are in conformance with the manufacturer’s requirements for the installation of the waterproof membrane. 1. Do not proceed with installation until after the minimum concrete curing period recommended by waterproofing manufacturer. 2. Verify that substrate is visibly dry and free of moisture. Test for capillary moisture by plastic sheet method according to ASTM D 4263. a. Submit test locations, report findings and membrane installation recommendations in writing to the Construction Manager or Architect. PEDCOR SQUARE; BUILDING 5 07 12 51 - PEDCOR SQUARE Issue Date 12.18.15 SBS MODIFIED SHEET WATERPROOFING PEDCOR SQUARE; BUILDING 5 3.
