HomeMy WebLinkAbout04 April 07 MinutesCRC Meeting, April 7, 2016 1 CARMEL REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION Meeting Thursday, April 7, 2016 ATTENDANCE: President Bill Hammer Not Present Vice President Dave Bowers Present Secretary Henry Mestetsky Present Treasurer Christine Pauley Not Present Member Bill Brooks Present (Webstream/text) Member Member Jeff Worrell Michael Kerschner Present Not Present Executive Director Corrie Meyer Present Office Manager Michael Lee Present Legal Consultant Mayor Karl Haas James Brainard Not Present Present Vice President Dave Bowers called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was said. Bid Opening Mr. Lee presented one bid for the City Center Site Package No. 1, consisting of initial site utilities work project from Smock Fansler. The base bid amount is $1,335,025, the alternate No. 1 is $285,000 and the alternate No. 2 is a deduction of $105,000. Mrs. Meyer stated the CRC will review bid to confirm it meets the proper criteria and then seek an approval at the next regularly scheduled CRC meeting on April 20, 2016. Financial Matters Approval of Claims Mr. Lee requested the Commission approve non-operating invoices in the amount of $69,398.59. Mr. Mestetsky moved to approve, seconded by Mr. Worrell. Approved unanimously. Old Business None at this time. New Business Approval of purchasing contract for Sophia Square courtyard FF&E Mrs. Meyer stated the Commission opened bids for the Sophia Square courtyard FF&E (furniture, fixtures and equipment) package at the last meeting on March 23, 2016. The single bid submitted by Smock Fansler met the standards required by the RFP. At this time the CRC staff requests that Smock Fansler be awarded the purchasing contract. Discussion ensued. Mr. Mestetsky motioned to approve purchasing contract with Smock Fansler for the Sophia Square courtyard FF&E. Seconded by Mr. Worrell and approved unanimously. Other Business None at this time. Adjournment Mr. Worrell moved the meeting be adjourned pending the execution of documents, seconded by Mr. Mestetsky. The meeting was adjourned at 5:37 p.m. The next regularly scheduled meeting is Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 6:30 p.m.
