�SPECIFICATIAN�S:
CONCRETE:
Provide smooth surfaced 6" concrete floor slabs of 3,500 psi concrete with 6 x 6 x
10/10 WWF on 4 mil vapor barrier; provide additional 4 mil vapor barrier above
slab at walk—in freezer recess and treat all slabs with curing membrane like Euclid
chemicai Co. 'KUREZ DR' or Sonneborn 'KURE—N—SEA�'; FOOTINGS— 3,000 psi
concrete, reinforced as shown.
CONCRETE BIOCK:
Use only normal weight block, pre—cast lintels, regular reinforcing like 'DUR—O—WAII'
and Type S morFar. Lay units dry, set reinforcing in accordance with applicable
NCMA provisions, grout full all hollow metal frdmes, and use concave rodded joints
with stack bond.
ROUGH CARPENTRY:
Use floor Joists of No. 2 Douglas Fir or Southern Pine to provide f 1,110 psi and E
= 1,600,000; use 1/2" CD—X plywood floor deck and use standard or utility grade
spruce for all concealed blocking and nailers.
FINISH CARPENTRY:
Wood fiooring and ali other wood trim: use solid Poplar custom—grade, straight clear
grain, in sizes are detailed.
CARPINETRY:
Provide all custom casework consisting of 5/8' 45 Ib. density parficle board cores
with 1/32" high pressure plastic laminate faces and complete cabinet Iiner interiors.
Use frameless construction and the following hardware OR Equal as approved by the
owner:

CAU�KING G SEAIANTS:
Use caulking similar to Tremco 'Mono' or Pecora 'Unicrylic' for all interior work; use
sealant similar to Tremco 'Oymeric' or loch 'Thiotok' at exterior door frames and at
joints of dissimilar materials.
DOOR FRAMES:
Provide wood frame for doors of solid poplar to match interior woodwork; all other
frames are to be stondard wood from manufacturer
DOORS:
Use interior doors like MOHAWK Commercial Hollow Core 6 panel, 1-3/4' thick, with
plastic laminate faces (colors to be selected by Owner), hardwood stiles and rails,
and waterproof adhesive. Use standard 16 gauge metal exterior door similar to Ceco,
Amweld, or Steelcraft.

WALL CONSTRICTION:
Use 2x6 exterior wood studs and 2x4 interior wood studs with 7¢" gypsum board on
both sides, using water resistant board in bath rooms and kitchen. Use 7/16' A.O.
'Wanderboard' tile backer boord in rooms having tile. Use perforated joint tope,
ready mixed joint compound, and galvanized metal bullnose corner bead.
PORCELAIN TI�E:
Use Fiandre 30 x 30 matte tile for all floor and on walls as detailed. Colors to be
selected by Owner. Apply tile to floor slabs using epoxy thin—set adhesive; apply to
walls using organic adhesive use epoxy grout, color to be selected by
Owner/Architect.
GUARRY TILE:
Use Metropolitan Ceramics 'Ironrock' (57X Stone Gray) and 'Metro Quarry' �507
Puritan Gray) in 8 x 8 with 6' high cove base; apply tile using epoxy thin set
adhesive; use epoxy grout, color to be selected by Architect; Iocate ironrock' as
