ORDINANCE NO. D-2335-16
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA,
AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATON OF FUNDS FROM
THE OPERATING BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND TO THE CARMEL FIRE
DEPARTMENT
Synopsis: This Ordinance transfers a total of $25,000 from the General Fund (#101) to the
Carmel Fire Department for reimbursement of overtime expenses incurred during the BMW
Championship Golf Tournament.
WHEREAS, the Carmel Fire Department ("CFD") provided additional public safety services
for the BMW Championship PGA Tournament held in Carmel this past September;
WHEREAS, Western Golf has reimbursed the CFD for services performed during the
tournament in the amount of Twenty Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000), which was deposited into the
City's General Fund (#101); and
WHEREAS, the General Fund has excess funds in the amount of Twenty Five Thousand
Dollars ($25,000) in the operating balance to appropriate to CFD budget line item 1120-4112002 —
Unscheduled Overtime; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel,
Indiana, that the following additional sum of money is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund
Operating Balance and for the purposes specified, subject to applicable laws, as follows:
$25,000 from the GENERAL FUND OPERATING Balances

Carmel Fire Department (1120): Line Item 4112002 - Unscheduled Overtime $25,000
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, execution
by the Mayor, and publication as required by law.
