SCOPE OF SERVICES: The Scope of Services is as described in the attached Schedule A — Scope of Services. The services identified are in addition to those noted in the agreement. This Scope of Services assumes the schedule, bidding and construction of this roundabout will be concurrent with the other roundabouts as part of a single unified construction contract. Additionally, this Scope of Services assumes the landscape design for the previously bid roundabouts, included in this agreement, are acceptable for this supplement TERMS: Terms for this Amendment are consistent with the Agreement authorized on April 6, 2016, including payment terms and invoicing procedures. Adjustments to Compensation and Schedule are as indicated on the attached Amendment Change Order. ADDITIONAL SERVICES: Services resulting from significant changes in the scope, extent or character of the portion of the Project designed or specified by Shrewsberry or its design requirements including, but not limited to, changes in size, complexity, client's schedule, character of construction or method of financing; and revising previously accepted studies, reports, drawings, specifications or contract documents when such revisions are required by changes in laws, rules, regulations, ordinances, codes or orders enacted subsequent to the preparation of such studies, reports, drawings, specifications or contract documents, unforeseen conditions or are due to any other causes beyond Shrewsberry's control. Change in Services shall entitle Shrewsberry to an adjustment in compensation. Shrewsberry shall notify the Client of these changes prior to providing such services. SHREWSBERRY & ASSOCIATES, LLC Nola Albrecht, RLA, Director, Landscape Architecture Department February 14, 2017 Scope of Services TASK I: PRELIMINARY DESIGN The first step in this process will be a site visit and photographic documentation of existing conditions for this roundabout at 116th and Towne Road. The City of Carmel will provide base design information accurately reflecting the proposed design of the roundabout in electronic AutoCadd design information, to initiate landscape architecture design activities. Preliminary Design activities and deliverables will consist of the following: • Site visit and photography. • Base map preparation. • Preliminary design preparation, including layout and landscape design. • Preliminary design submission for review and comment. • Preliminary design refinement based on approved preliminary design. TASK II: FINAL DESIGN THROUGH CONSTRUCTION PHASE SERVICES Activities and deliverables associated with the roundabout at 116th and Towne Road will be consistent with the previously approved roundabout landscape design included in the Base Agreement and will consist of the following: • Final layout and landscape design. • Contractor coordination for proposal pricing and preparation. • Additional construction phase submittal review and site visits. ASSUMPTIONS • The City will provide available plans, studies, surveys or as -built drawings of the site in AutoCAD format for use as the base for plan development. • Roundabout design provided by separate consultants can be relied on for the landscape architecture design. • Extensions or evaluation of existing utilities beyond the site are not included in this scope of work. • Roundabout landscape improvements will be constructed as an amendment to the previously approved Smock Fansler Company construction agreement. • Preparation of technical specifications. • Preparation of construction cost estimates. FEE COMPENSATION Shrewsberry is prepared to immediately begin the preliminary landscape design for this roundabout following Notice to Proceed from the Client. Shrewsberry will submit Concept Development deliverables for review and approval 2 weeks following Notice to Proceed and receipt of base mapping information from the Client. Four weeks following approval of the preliminary landscape design Shrewsberry will provide completed construction documents for soliciting construction pricing. Proposed fee compensation for the roundabout landscape design at 116th and Towne Road is included in the attached Amendment Change Order.
