HomeMy WebLinkAboutCrossroad Engineering Letter 03-29-17 March 29, 2017 Greg Ilko CrossRoad Engineers, P.C. 3417 S. Sherman Drive Beech Grove, IN 46107 RE: Heritage at Spring Mill, Sections 1 & 2 Docket No. 16120017 SP Dear Greg, Please find enclosed 1 set of revised Final Plat, Construction Plans, Landscape Plans and O&M Manual for Heritage at Spring Mill, Sections 1 & 2. The plans have been revised per your comment letter dated March 3, 2017. I have addressed each of your items individually with a numbering system consistent to your comment letter. #8&9: The SSD was turned on and shown on sheet C1.2. Please note already shown on C1.1 and the SSD Plan sheet C6.4. Originally left off on C1.2 for plan clarify given separate sheet provided. #11: The plans have updated the storm sewer labels. Western Pond: Please note this was a DAM reconstruction by Banning/Temple Project. There are 2 storm pipes. 1) Primary Lake outfall with control structure that is out in the water. 2) the second pipe is 6” SDR26 PVC pipe with a hickenbottom riser at the bottom of the lake with a valve at the outside toe of slope of dam; this serves as a drain pipe for maintenance/inspection. This is all part of Temple project Eastern Pond: There are two (2) pipes between west/east pond. The southern pond is a 36”RCP serving as equalizer & outfall pipe from east to west. The second pipe is a 48” RCP that is set at the 100yr elevation serving as an emergency overflow pipe. This is identified at the end of the Temple Drainage Report. We are only showing the eastern pond watershed characteristics because that is all we are amending/developing from the Master Drainage Report. This is essentially detailing that basin that was previously planned for but not previosuly developed. Proving that actual development is inline with original master plan. The Western pond watershed remains the same as originally designed, so those values are maintained in the updated ICPR model. #14: Written request previously sent to Carmel Engineering after your comment letter and before their recent review. If you have any questions or require additional information, please feel free to contact me at your convenience. Sincerely, Brandon T. Burke, P.E. Senior Project Manager Enclosure
