River to Keystone Parkway. Press release writing and editing; research; community relations; media relations; some video editing; and strategic consultation in this ongoing effort. >Veterans's Way expansion: Working with multiple departments to help coordinate notifications and rollout of new Veteran's Way extension and its impact of local property owners. >Bike-Share marketing: Working with city community services and community relations staff on the creation of a unique brochure to market the benefits of becoming a part of the city's Bike Share program. This is a work in progress. >Major Events: Working with a number of department and community resources to assist outside entities seeking to host major events in Carmel. >Review of marketing efforts: Worked closely as a team with community relations staff on several major marketing efforts including advertising, media relations, community relations, logo design and newsletter designs. This is an ongoing process to continue to bolster Carmel's reputation for Quality of Life, a major component of our Economic Development strategy. >Connect with Carmel: Working with Melanie Lentz, project manager, to write, produce, film and edit the next video presentation as part of our Connect with Carmel series, whose goal is to boost interest in local redevelopment districts and the businesses that are there. >Marketing redevelopment areas: Worked closely with staff and local commercial real estate professionals in working to market the Arts & Design District, City Center, Midtown and other areas to potential investors and businesses. >Social Media: Continuing to explore new ways to capitalize on social media marketing and advertising to increase awareness of a variety of city events, programs and initiatives. >Road projects: Continued meetings, research, discussions, strategy sessions, media relations, community relations ... all part of the city's Carmel Link project that deals with a number of road projects in this first of three years of projects. >Interfaith Alliance project: Continued to work closely with Pastor Jerry Zehr and a core group of faith leaders on projects for the Interfaith Alliance. Mission to publicize, educate and embrace Carmel's diversity in faith and culture. >Carmel Caffeine Trail: Continued work with community relations staff on the Trail, implementing its mission and outreach, adding new members and helping to market its existence through media and social media. >Business inventory: Constant updating of local database of corporate headquarters and other businesses in the Arts & Design District, City Center, other areas of the city for purposes of sharing with media, site selectors, commercial real estate. >New website: Continue early design phase of future Economic Development web pages planned for city website. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT / MEDIA & COMMUNITY RELATIONS >Carmel Gala: Assisted with preparation of materials used for inaugural Carmel Gala to benefit the CYAP. >Research and report: Media request for information on budget for snow removal at City Street Dept. >Research and report: Historic look at diversity and census information for magazine article on diversity in Carmel. >Research and report: Various requests for information regarding city roundabouts. >Research and report: City of Carmel's past transportation plans. >Meeting with Duke: Attended luncheon with Duke Energy to learn about the future meter reading coming to Carmel. >Media release: City action on cell towers in Carmel, new police chief named, road construction updates, etc. >Media relations: Meeting with and working with individual members of the media on special projects regarding the City and the Mayor. Assisting in research, planning and arranging interviews, etc. >Additional public relations (ongoing) ➢ Work with staff to answer daily media questions and provide information requested by a number of sources — including the Current in Carmel, Indianapolis Star, Indianapolis Business Journal, Channels 4, 6, 8, 13 and 59 and WIBC radio. ➢ Work with Carmel Fire, Carmel Police, Utilities, Engineering and Streets on a number of media relations items. ➢ Assist in the writing of media releases and editorial copy for various magazine buys. >Social Media: Continue overseeing use of social media to publicize and inform residents and the public on a variety of matters including traffic issues, important announcements and events
