connections during construction.
8. All lots are to be served by 6" sanitary sewer pipe of plastic. These laterals are to be carried approximately to the property line,
and the location of their termination indicated on the surface with a suitable marker. The wye is to he tilted up at 45 degrees from
the horizontal and the end plugged tight with clay or plastic disc, capable of withstanding a low pressure Air Test without leakage.
The lateral locations should also be marked red on the curb.
9. Where water lines and sanitary sewers cross and water lines cannot be placed above the sewer with a minimum of 18 inches vertical
clearance, the sewer must be constructed of water works grade ductile iron pipe with mechanical joints within 10 feet of the water
line.
10. Water mains shall be of ductile iron Class 50 cement lined pipe, unless otherwise noted in plans.
a. Water lines shall be of ductile iron pipe, Class 50 cement line water works grade.

on curbs with blue paint. (Sewer lateral locations - red).
11. All water mains to be pressure tested for leakage and sterilized in accordance with directions from Carmel Water Department.

15. A temporary seeding mixture in the areas where stripping or fills have been graded shall be seeded for silt and erosion protection.
16. The location of houses (depicted by rectangles) and the "finish ground grade" connected thereto, are intended as guide -lines only,
showing how each lot could be graded to drain effectively. The "finish ground grade" should however, be treated as a minimum
elevation, and the same drainage pattern should be maintained but adapted to the particular house selected for each lot.
17. It shall be the responsibility of each contractor to verify all existing utilities and conditions pertaining to tiis phase of the
work. It shall also be the contractors responsibility to contact the owners of the various utilities before work is started. The
