DENTAL UNIT – Install 1/2" FAPT cola Hater, 1/2" 'APT air (and 1-1/2" waste and/
;D.i.i.i or 5/8" OD suction, ONLY WHERE SPECIFIED') pipes above finished floor or out from,
gall. See ,nor.ufacturer's specification, template for positioning. These dimensions
are CRITICAL and must comply ,with measurements of manufacturer's templates.
Adopters and valves, where indicated, must be rigidly conformed to. Install acc-
essible woter & air salves for each unit. Provide Nater pressure regulator, if the
pressure exceeds 150 PSI.
AIR COMPRESSOR – Starting f-om air compressor location, run 1/2" copper air
( �. fine dna tee off to dPntai units and all other areas that require air. Reduce the
size of line to conform to manufacturer's specifications. (Example: Dental units,
well outlets, etc.) Compressor air intake shall be from outside building, if practical,
or shall be stored in location with neither vocuum system discharge or chemical
based materiai storage. Compressor supplied by doctor and connected by plumber.

p AIR OUTLET – Redu.e to 3/8" FPT flange flush with +raft. Comply with man,ufoct–
urer's valve adaptation to line. install 44" aoove floor
jq GAS OUTLET – Some specifications as air outlet for gas outlet_
Q DEVELOPING TANK – Recess tank.. into counter top. Supply woste with trap 12"
above floor. Run hot and cold water lines to Thermostatic Mixing Valve 60"
above floor. Rur: tempered nater line from thermostatic mixing valve to bottom
of developing tank. All exposed piping, above counter top, to be chrome. Doctor
to Drovide Thermostatic Mixing Valve and Developing Tank, plumber to install. See
manufacturer's specifications for rough–in.
MODULAR CABINET SINK AND SINGLE LEVER FAUCET – install waste, hot and cold
water lines 18" above floor. Supplied by doctor and installed by plumber.
I LAB & STERILIZATION SINKS & FAUCETS – Supplied and installed by the plumber.

PLASTER TRAP – Install for lab sink and model trimmer. Supplied by the doctor
P T - and installed by plumber. Brace trap to support .weight of full trap and to simplify
the removal of connister for cleaning.
IAODEL TRIMMER – Install cold Ovate line :with a 1/4" chrome angle stop above the
iA T counter top. Model trimmer has a 1" male nipple for flexible waste pipe connection.
Plumber to run waste line from tr'mmer to sink tailpipe/plaster trap with tee into
sink strainer tailpiece connection. Provided by doctor and installed by plumber.
SO SUCTION OUTLET – Incorporated into dental unit plumbing ("D.U.") as designated
on pian. Reduce riser to 5/8" O.D. through floor (or wall) with 1" stub out.
SD SUCTION UNIT – DRY SYSTEM – Run 2" Main line in rigid copper or

schadule 40 PVC piping (80 ps minimum) reduce to 3/4" below and
through the floor, or wail, in the treatment rooms, as indicated on
the plan. At power unit terminate 2" main line with o 2" FPT fit–
ting. Plumber to install 45's and avoid 90 degree angles, where
possible. See Manufacturer's specifications.
#2 DRAIN – Vented drain reduced to 3/4" to be provided in
EACH TREATMENT ROOM, at suction outlet, at 6" above the floor.
#3 EXTERNAL VENT – For exhaust air – Plumber to install external vent. Exhaust
shall be located remote from any door, window, intake or discharge.
Follow manufacturer's specifications for installation.
-u4 WATER – Provide e valved 1/2" FPT cold water line within 3' of suction unit.

COMMODE – Plumber to supply and install quiet flush commode. Color to be
0 selected by doctor. Handicapped fixtures and tail to be supplied for
handicapped designated restroom.
VANITY SINK – Plumber to supply and install vanity cabinet, sink and faucet,
where designated. Handicapped fixtures to be supplied for handicapped
designated restroom.
