ORDINANCE D-2367-17
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA,
AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS
FROM THE GENERAL FUND #101 STREET DEPARTMENT FUND #2201
Synopsis: This ordinance authorizes and approves an additional appropriation of $2,000,000.00
from the General Fund into the Street Department Fund to be used for the repaving of City
streets.
WHEREAS, the sum of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00) is needed to pay for street
repaving and associated repairs, Fund #2201-43-502.00; and
WHEREAS, the General Fund, Fund #101 has excess funds in the amount of Two Million
Dollars ($2,000,000.00) in the operating balance to appropriate to fully cover these expenses; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel,
Indiana, that the following additional sum of money is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund
Operating Balance and for the purposes specified, subject to applicable laws, as follows:
$2,000,000 from the GENERAL FUND OPERATING, Fund #101 Balance
To
Street Department – Contracted Street Repaving #2201, Line Item # 43502.00 - $2,000,000.00
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, execution
by the Common Council and the Mayor and such publication as is required by law.
