72 DEGREES IN THE COOLING SEASON.
E. DISCONNECTS SHALL BE PROVIDED FOR ALL EXTERIOR HVAC EQUIPMENT,
LOCAETD WITHIN LINE OF SIGHT OF PERMANENT EQUIPMENT.
F. WATHERPROOF RATED CONVENIENCE OUTLET WITHIN 25 FEET OF
PERMANENT EXTERIOR HVAC EQUIPMENT. RECEPTACLES SHALL HAVE
WEATHER-PROOF COVER IN WET LOCATIONS SO THAT RECEPTACLE REMAINS
WATERTIGHT WHILE A CORD IS PLUGGED IN.
G. VENTILATION AND TEMPERATURE CONTROL SHALL CONSIST OF A 7 DAY
WALL MOUNTED PROGRAMMABLE THERMOSTAT.
H. INSTALL IN DUCT SMOKE DETECTORS PER CODE. THEY SHALL INTERLOCK
THE DX UNIT TO SHUT DOWN UPON DUCT DETECTOR ACTIVATION. PROVIDE
A VISIBLE AND AUDIBLE SIGNAL AT A CONSTANTLY ATTENDED LOCATION
WHICH INDICATES ACTIVATION OF THE SMOKE DETECTOR. VERIFY IF

GENERAL PLUMBING NOTES
PLUMBING CONTRACTOR SHALL CONFIRM OR ESTABLISH SIZES OF
WASTE, VENT, AND SUPPLY AS REQUIRED TO MAKE A COMPLETE AND
WORKING SYSTEM.
ALL WORK SHALL COMPLY WITH 2012 INDIANA PLUMBING CODE (2006

THE SCOPE OF PLUMBING WORK INCLUDES FURNISHING, INSTALLING,

PIPING SHALL BE SIZED TO PROVIDE A VELOCITY NOT EXCEEDING SIX
FEET PER SECOND (FPS) FOR COLD AND HOT WATER SYSTEMS.
INSULATION: INTERIOR COLD WATER PIPING SHALL BE INSULATED TO
PREVENT CONDENSATION. INTERIOR HOT WATER PIPING SHALL BE
INSULATED AS REQUIRED BY CODE AND PER THE LATEST ASHRAE
STANDARD A90.1 TABLE 7.2.3
DOMESTIC WATER LINES SHALL BE OF TYPE "L" COPPER PIPING WITH ALL
NECESSARY COPPER FITTINGS AND BALL VALVES. ALL PIPING BELOW
GRADE SHALL PENETRATE FLOOR THRU A SLEEVE TO ISOLATE PIPING
FROM CONCRETE. ALL COPPER PIPING ABOVE GRADE SHALL BE
WRAPPED WITH 1
2" "ARMAFLEX" INSULATION. PROVIDE ALL NECESSARY
FITTINGS, VALVES, WATER STOPS, ANCHORS, HANGARS, AND MISC. FOR
A COMPLETE SYSTEM. INSTALLATION OF ALL PIPING SHALL CONFORM TO
ALL APPLICABLE STATE AND LOCAL CODES. CHLORINATE ENTIRE
DOMESTIC WATER SYSTEM PRIOR TO USE OF POTABLE WATER.
VALVES: PROVIDE ACCESSIBLE CHECK VALVES IN THE INDIVIDUAL COLD
AND HOT WATER FIXTURE SUPPLY LINES SERVING MIXING VALVE TYPE
FAUCETS OR ASSEMBLIES HAVING HOSE CONNECTION OUTLETS THAT
ARE NOT EQUIPPED WITH INTEGRAL CHECK STOPS.
PROVIDE LINE SHUT-OFF VALVES AT LOCATIONS REQUIRED FOR PROPER
OPERATION, SERVICING, AND TROUBLESHOOTING OF THE DOMESTIC
WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM AND CONNECTED COMPONENTS.
LOCATIONS SHALL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: AT
EACH FIXTURE AND PIECE EQUIPMENT, AT EACH BRANCH TAKE-OFF
FROM MAINS, AT THE BASE OF EACH RISER, AT EACH BATTERY OF
FIXTURES, WHERE RECOMMENDED BY EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURERS
AND AT STRATEGIC LOCATIONS TO ALLOW FOR SECTIONAL ISOLATION
WHILE LIMITING DISRUPTION OF SERVICES.
ALL VALVES SHALL BE ACCESSIBLE FOR OPERATION AND SERVICING.
TRAP PRIMING DEVICES THAT REPLY UPON LINE PRESSURE
DIFFERENTIAL FOR ACTIVATION ARE NOT ALLOWED.
DOMESTIC HOT WATER SYSTEMS: DOMESTIC HOT WATER SYSTEMS
