This class is for First Responders EMT's Firefighters Law Enforcement, Nurses. Doctors, or
anyone that will be providing medical care in a mass casualty or violent incident.
Tactical Combat CasuallyC_(TCCC) is a course developed by the
National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) Prehospital Trauma Life
Support (PHTLS) and the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (CoTCCC). TCCC
uses lessons learned from our military and applies them to the civilian world of tactical
medicine. This 16-hour course covers topics designed to decrease preventable death in the
tactical situation.
While TCCC has a tactical slant, it takes an all-hazards aoDroach to
providing care outside the normal operating conditions of most EA13
agencies such as responding to a mass casualty or active shooter
event,
At the completion of the course, students will have earned: a certification from
the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) and16 CEU
hours towards any state EMS certification, a certificate of completion from Verus
Security, and each student will receive a North American Rescue CAT tourniquet.
