Dear Sirs ;
Thank you for advising me of your meeting of June 12 , 1990 . I do
plan to attend .
I am very hopeful that the property on the north east side of 96th
Street and Haverstick Road will be rezoned for commercial use . The
nature of the neighborhood has changed dramatically over the past
ten years and it is no longer attractive as a residence . As you
are aware , I have attempted to sell this property as a residence
for a year and there has been no interest . However , I have had
some interest from commerical buyers , and would like to be able to
sell to them.
I look forward to discussing this with you at the upcoming meeting
and trust that we will come to a mutually acceptable resolution on
the zoning issue for my property.

Comprehensive Plan
Update Committee Members
Dear Mr. Davis, Mr. Bucher, and Ms. Green,
I own my home at the corner of Haverstick and 96th street
in Clay Township. My husband and I moved into our new home
thirty-eight years ago. This area has been until recently a
fine residential community. We have a stone ranch on over an
acre of mature trees and beautiful lawns.
Now, however, business and commercial ventures have en-
croached on us. We are one block from Wiese Ford and across
the street from various office buildings in Marion County.
My property was listed for sale for 6 months but could
not be sold as a residence due to the nearby business traffic
and is not zoned for commercial use.
I would appreciate your advice as to the highest and best
use for my property in accordance with Clay Township's overall
plan. It seems only logical that this corner should be zoned
for commercial use.
Sincerely,
