Supporting Reasons for Variance Request for Section 8.9
Current installation of 170' of sidewalk as the first and only
sidewalk section along a one half mile county road would change
the nature and existing design greatly. Of greater concern would
be the safety hazard it would create because the southern most end
of the sidewalk would stop at the one land bridge and drop into
Henley Creek. Delay of sidewalk installation until an appropriate
bridge structure to handle two cars and a sidewalk would be a
preferred alternative.
