parcel of real estate located at the northwest corner of U.S. 31

Final Development Plan and a copy of the Application.

Enclosed please find a print showing a proposed relocation of the
Meridian Technology Center park identification sign from its
present location along the west side of Congressional Boulevard
to the southwest corner of Carmel Drive and Guilford Road .
The sign would be located between the road and the existing lake
at Carmel Drive and Guilford . This location would require some
regrading of the lake slopes and extending the existing pipe 18
feet . The fill material in this corner of the lake would reduce
the storage capacity for detention by less than 0 . 1 acre feet and
cause less than 0.05 raise in required storage level of the pond .
This pond has adequate freeboard to accommodate this small
increase .
A portion of the slopes behind the sign will be 3 : 1 slopes with
landscaping concentrated around the sign .
Please review the plan and send any comments you might have to
the City of Carmel as soon as possible, as we are attempting to
obtain a docket number to have this item heard .

Conceptual Plans
Following our meeting yesterday I reviewed the revised plans. The following
comments reflect the concerns expressed by the Hamilton County Surveyor when he viewed
the plans.
1. There needs to be 15' from the top of the banks of the ponds to right-of-way
line.
2. There needs to be the standard safety ledge in the lakes.
I have included a copy of our Primary Checklist. This is a basic
items that I look for when reviewingguide to the
plans (but is riot necessarily all inclusive). If
you have any questions, feel free to call.

The attached drawings represent an addendum to the previously submitted drawings.
These changes were precipitated due to the relocation of 1 - structural bay from
the technical/research wing to the office wing side of the building. The basic
center point of the building at the rotunda did not shift in location on the
site. The following is a description of the changes shown on attached drawings.
Note that not all drawings are revised, but all are included for reference and
convenience in review.
Location Plan - No change
Site Development Plan (Drainage) :
1. Reflects building changes - remove one bay - tech. wing; add on bay -
office wing. Also dock and pond termination walls shifted accordingly.
2. Lengthening office wing to the south created need to skew the "roadway"
(between 103rd and the rotunda area) more to the west. This "skew"
changed the drainage areas, parking island layout, and storm drainage
structure locations in the "south" parking area. The drainage
calculations reflect these charges, and a refinement of the complete
storm drainage system.
3. Storm water routing in the "north" parking area was altered to lesson
the impact on the existing "green belt" along 106th.
4. Easement corrections to coordinate with Schneider Engineering drawings
Lighting Plan (no changes to light fixture - layout changes only) :
1. Layout changes to parking lot configuration in major parking lot on
west side of building.
2. Layout change to south loading dock.
3. North parking lot - layout changes were added on plans.
