Co'mi.ssiArchitectural to consider Design and Lighting and Sign Applications for
Gringo's Taco House, Inc., located at 1367 S. Range Line jtioad. Filed by N. P.
I.r. Maxwell made the presentation. The proposed Taco House would be located on
the lot adjacent to the CarpetTalk. Gringo's Taco House is a small chain with eight
restaurants located in Indianapolis. It is a fast food service restaurant and this
one will have a seating capacity for 90 people.
This item sent to the Industrial and Commercial Co::unittee, meeting January 12, 1976
at the Building Commissioner' office. Committee was asked to check traffic flow onto
Rangeline Road.
23. Commission to consider Final Plat Application for Brookshire North Section 3,
located ?;est of Gray Road on 131st Street. Filed by Lumber Mart, Inc.
Doug Floyd made the presentation and showed a plat of the area. This item sent
to the Subdivision Committee, meeting January , '1976,' at the Building Commissioner's cffic. .
33. 7otomat project. Fred Swift stated that the Fotomateo~tee. had comae to the Industrial
and 'Commercial Committee meeting to sec if they could appear before the Plan Coed i SSien
and get an unanimous vote to rehear their peo j ec t; however, there is nobody from
Fotomat here tonight. Swift read the Industrial and Commercial minutes on this item.
42. T:ohawh Hills Apartment Complex Sign. Swift read the minutes cf the Industrial and
Commercial Committee stating that the complex had put up a signthat did not follow
the size or height requirements of those relating to apartments or construction sign'_.
Swift moved that the sign application be denied and that -t e sign be removed. Motion
was seconded and passed unanimously (at I & This C meeting).. item ?•ra,, returned to '-',--)
Building lg Co...missioner's office from the I & C Committee. The Plan Commission asked if the
complex had beenasked to take the sign down. Mr. Pickett was asked to come down from
his office to give us further information on this ite, but he stated he was unable tc
at that time and that he did not know whether the complex had been notified about their
sign violation. Lee Klotz was instructed to notify the complex on the sign violation.
5B. Future of the Flan Commission. Jia Litesinger stated that he has been asked by
several people what the future of the Plan Comm .ssion is and what is going to ha 'open. to it.
Jim stated that we have a change in administration and we can expect that to happen everyt
il
thereis an election and with that you can. expect a change in the Plan Commission and all
appointed bodies. There will be new appoints nts in all probability. Dut whatever
harre-:o, he felt that we would like to see, for the good of the community, a very smooth
tragi si tion.
