I have reviewed the drawings submitted for the September 20, 2017 Technical Advisory Committee meeting and offer the following comments: ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION REVIEW COMMENTS 1) Please provide details for the bike lane on Street A. Please include details on how the bike lane will be marked at intersections, how the lane will be buffered or protected and any signage that will be included with the lane. An intersection detail has been added to the Primary Plat. 2) Please move the bike lane on Street A so that the gutter pan is not included as part of the total width of the lane. The bike lane has been adjusted. 3) The City’s minimum standard for sidewalk is five (5) feet wide. Section 8.4 A. of the proposed PUD includes this minimum standard to the PUD language, but there are streets on the plan that do not meet it. Please revise the plans to meet this standard. The plat and the PUD have been adjusted to include 5’ minimum sidewalks. 4) Provide north and south ADA compliant crosswalks and ramps at all of the intersections along Street C. All crosswalks and ramps will be ADA compliant. 5) Provide bicycle parking at the amenity center and revise the PUD language to include this. Bicycle parking will be provided at the Amenity Center, the exact location has yet to be determined and will be detailed on final construction plans. 6) Please provide a crosswalk across Street I to/from Lot 88 and lot 72. The plan has changed and Lot 88 and 72 are no longer located as shown on the previous submittal; however, there will be crosswalks at all street crossing. 7) Please ensure that all sidewalks and paths are within the public right-of-way or within a public pedestrian easement. All sidewalks and paths will either be in a public right-of-way or within a common area with a pedestrian access easement (P.A.E.) designation. We request that all responses to our comments be provided in writing. Failure to provide written responses may result in delay of the review process. Please provide revised plans indicating all revisions. Please notify us of any changes and specifically state any changes, including changes resulting from Plan Commission, Special Studies or other committee meetings. The Department of Community Services reserves the right to provide additional comments based on subsequent reviews. If you have questions, please contact me at 571-2417.
