HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC-02-17-05 Approves Properties to the Historic SurveySponsor: Councilor Carter RESOLUTION CC 10-02-17-05 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA, RECOGNIZING ADDITIONS TO THE HISTORIC CONTRIBUTING BUILDINGS SURVEY AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CARMEL HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION Synopsis: Approves the addition of certain properties to the Carmel/Clay Township Historic Properties Survey as recommended by the Carmel Historic Preservation Commission. WHEREAS, the mission of the Carmel Historic Preservation Commission (the "Commission") is to provide a means to promote the cultural, economic, and general welfare of the public through the preservation and protection of structures and areas of historic and cultural interest within the City of Carmel; and WHEREAS, proposed historic district maps recommended by the Commission must be based upon the Carmel/Clay Township Historic Properties Survey (the "Survey"); and WHEREAS, identification of worthy historic resources is highly detailed, and covers a broad range of historical significances, architectural styles, materials, historical persons and themes that reflect important aspects of the growth and development of Carmel, resources that the Survey has classified. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED AND AGREED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The forgoing Recitals are incorporated herein by reference. Section 2. The Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana approves the addition of the properties listed in Exhibit A, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, to the Carmel/Clay Township Historic Properties Survey.
