Box 1507 Indianapolis, IN 46206 Electrical Engineer Contact Construction Documents - Addendum No.1 01.31.18 This project consists of the build out of a suite in a newly constructed building. This is a Design Build project, MEP drawings to follow. Project Location Area of Work PLAN TRUE 1. Refer to attached M, E, & P drawings for more information. If drawings are not included and scope requires M, P, or E work Contractor shall provide design build- design and permitting services for the scope required for a successful project. 2. The design and installation of all MEP systems shall comply with the current Codes in force by the AHJ at the project location. Any required energy compliance or environmental reports required by the AHJ shall be prepared by the Contractor if not provided by the Owner or Architect’s consultants. 3. Contractor to field verify all existing building conditions and systems affected by the project work and be familiar with the drawings and project requirements prior to bid or contracting with Owner. No structural cutting, coring, or drilling shall be performed that impacts any part of the existing facility, without prior approval. Contractor shall retain the services of a structural engineer, if required by the Architect, Owner, or AHJ to obtain a required approval. 4. Architectural drawing have been provided to show the locations of all devices and systems. Contractor shall be responsible for reconfigurations, modifications, and/or new work needed to provide a complete functioning job without permanently disrupting existing building systems. Contractor shall coordinate with Owner, Building Facilities, and or other Tenants 48 hours minimum in advance of any interruption of any building service. 5. Architectural drawings shall take precedence over all other trades drawings when conflicts arise. Contractor to bring conflicts or inconsistencies between the architectural drawings and the drawing of other trades to the attention of the architect prior to bid, order, or installation. 6. Fire sprinkler modifications and new work shall be designed by a licensed fire sprinkler system designer in the state the project resides in, and must be installed by a state licensed installer. Contractor shall obtain any required approvals from the AHJ prior to start of construction. 7. Zoning of MEP systems shall be exclusive to the project area without cross over to other building areas, except as is indicated on the documents or as approved in advance. 8. Contractor to provide all required test and balance reports, O&M manuals, and commissioning activities required by the AHJ or project requirements in the appropriate phases of the project. Note: E.C. and/or design build contractor is to verify that project meets Indiana ASHRAE 90.1 energy codes. Design intent is to be within watts per square foot. Provide energy managment controls, such as sensor controls (ultrasonic and motion detection) and/or relay time clocks, as required by the code. Indiana required energy compliance report (ComCheck) is the responsibility of the owner or owner's representative. Drawings, specifications and energy control devices are shown with the intent of meeting current state energy codes. Submitting party is to alert designer and owner of any additional devices or load changes necessary to adhere to the code prior to submission of ComCheck. Addendum No.1 02/26/18 Nick Mishler
