THE ERRORS AND OMISSIONS DESIGN LIABILITY FOR THE PROJECT SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE DESIGN COST OF CORRECTING THE DEFICIENCY. CONTRACTOR(S) SHALL PROVIDE ALL NECESSARY LABOR, MATERIALS, AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE WORK IN THESE DOCUMENTS, UNLESS CLEARLY NOTED "NOT IN CONTRACT" (N.I.C.). EXISTING WORK ADJACENT TO OR IN THE AREA OF NEW WORK SHALL BE PROTECTED BY ALL SUITABLE MEANS NECESSARY TO PREVENT OR MINIMIZE DAMAGE. WHERE EXISTING WORK IS TO BE REMOVED OR ALTERED, RESTORE ADJACENT FINISH TO ORIGINAL CONDITION. EXTEND/REFINISH ALL FRAMES, BASE, AND TRIM WHERE CUTTING HAS EXPOSED ANY UNFINISHED SURFACES. REPAIR ANY DAMAGE TO EXISTING WORK AND RESTORE TO ORIGINAL CONDITION. O. ALL FINISH CARPENTRY IS TO BE COMPLETED IN STRICT ACCORDANCE WITH A.W.I. STANDARDS, PREMIUM GRADE. M. N. PROVIDE BLOCKING IN WALLS TO ACCOMMODATE ALL CASEWORK AND WALL MOUNTED EQUIPMENT. L. NEW FINISHED DOOR OPENINGS IN NEW PARTITIONS SHALL BE SET 6" FROM ADJACENT PERPENDICULAR PARTITIONS, UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE. K. PREPARE ALL EXISTING WALLS AND FLOORS TO RECEIVE NEW FINISHES. J. ALL WORK IS TO BE COMPLETED IN STRICT ACCORDANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE CODES, ORDINANCES, RULES, REGULATIONS, AND STANDARDS, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: THE INDIANA BUILDING CODE, THE INDIANA CODES, THE INDIANA FIRE CODES, THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA), AND APPLICABLE TRADE STANDARDS. ALL APPLICABLE RULES AND REGULATIONS ARE TO BE THE MOST CURRENT ADOPTED EDITIONS. ALL DIMENSIONS ARE SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS. ANY DIMENSIONS NOT SHOWN OR DEEMED QUESTIONABLE ARE TO BE VERIFIED WITH THE ARCHITECT/DESIGNER. DO NOT SCALE DIMENSIONS ON THE DRAWINGS. ADA & ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION DOOR SPACE - THE FLOOR ON EACH SIDE OF A DOORWAY IS REQUIRED TO BE LEVEL AND CLEAR FOR A MINIMUM DEPTH OF 60 INCHES ON THE SWING SIDE, MEASURED AT RIGHT ANGLES TO THE OPENING, AND FOR 48 INCHES ON THE SIDE AWAY FROM THE DOOR. ON THE SWING SIDE OF THE DOOR, THE LEVEL AND CLEAR AREA IS REQUIRED TO EXTEND FOR 24 INCHES ON THE STRIKE EDGE OF THE DOOR FOR EXTERIOR DOOR, AND TO EXTEND FOR 18 INCHES FOR INTERIOR DOORS. A LEVEL AREA IS DEFINED AS A SURFACE WHICH DOES NOT SLOPE MORE THAN 1 4 INCH IN 1 FOOT IN ANY DIRECTION. PROTRUDING OBJECTS - [24 CAC, SECTION 2-1721] ACCESSORIES.
