GENERAL DEMOLITION
NOTES
1. COORDINATE ALL DEMOLITION WORK WITH CORRESPONDING NEW
CONSTRUCTION.
2. GENERAL CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE CONSTRUCTION WITH OWNER.
3. GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PROTECT ALL FINISHES AND/OR
EQUIPMENT TO REMAIN DURING CONSTRUCTION.
4. DEMOLITION SHALL BE PERFORMED WITHOUT DAMAGE TO ADJACENT
RETAINED WORK. WHERE SUCH DAMAGE OCCURS, PATCH, REPAIR OR
OTHERWISE RESTORE TO ITS ORIGINAL CONDITION.
5. WHERE DEMOLITION WORK LEAVES HOLES OR DAMAGED SURFACES
THAT WILL BE EXPOSED IN FINISHED WORK, THE DAMAGED AREAS
SHALL BE PATCHED AND REPAIRED TO MATCH FINAL FINISH.
6. SOLID LINES INDICATE STRUCTURE AND/OR EQUIPMENT TO REMAIN.
7. DASHED LINES INDICATE STRUCTURE AND/OR EQUIPMENT TO BE
REMOVED.
8. ALL ITEMS NOT SPECIFICALLY INDICATED TO BE REMOVED THAT MUST
BE DEMOLISHED TO ACCOMMODATE NEW CONSTRUCTION SHOULD BE
VERIFIED WITH ARCHITECT BEFORE PROCEEDING.
9. ALL ASSEMBLIES NOTED TO BE DEMOLISHED SHALL BE REMOVED
COMPLETELY WITH FASTENERS, ANCHORS, SEALANTS, CAULKING,
ADHESIVES, ETC.
10. REMOVE ALL DEBRIS FROM THE SITE RESULTING FROM DEMOLITION.
TRANSPORT AND LEGALLY DISPOSE OFF-SITE.
11. REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF ALL EXISTING WINDOW TREATMENTS.
12. REMOVE ACOUSTICAL CEILING TILE, GRID, AND ASSOCIATED ITEMS
THROUGHOUT PROJECT.
13. REMOVE ALL LIGHTING FIXTURES, DIFFUSERS AND CEILING
ACCESSORIES.
14. REMOVE ALL COLUMN WRAPS TO ALLOW FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION.
15. REMOVE WALL FRAMING AND ASSOCIATED ITEMS, INCLUDING TOP
TRACK AS NECESSARY TO ACCOMMODATE NEW CONSTRUCTION.
16. REMOVE INTERIOR DOORS, FRAMES, AND RELATED ITEMS.
17. REMOVE EXISTING FLOOR COVERING, WALL-BASE AND ASSOCIATED
ITEMS. PREPARE FLOOR TO RECEIVE NEW FINISHES IF NECESSARY.
18. REMOVE SINKS AND PLUMBING FIXTURES COMPLETELY. SALVAGE
ANYTHING NECESSARY TO REUSE IN NEW CONSTRUCTION RESTROOMS.
19. REMOVE RESTROOM TOILET PARTITIONS AND RELATED ITEMS.
20. REMOVE COUNTERS, CASEWORK, AND RELATED ITEMS.
21. BEFORE BEGINNING DEMOLITION, EXISTING MECHANICAL UNITS AND
EQUIPMENT SHALL BE COVERED AND PROTECTED TO PREVENT DUST
AND DEBRIS FROM ENTERING.

LANDLORD DEMO NOTES:
1. Dumpster to be located behind Tenant space and the area around
the dumpster must be kept clean daily. Any fines from the municipality
will be passed onto the Tenant.
2. All dumpsters must be placed on 2x or plywood blocking
3. All loud and disruptive construction noise is to be done on adjoining
Tenants’ off hours. Construction noise shall not be disruptive to
Tenants or Patrons of the Shopping Center.
