GENERAL DEMOLITION NOTES:
A. DEMOLISH EXISTING FLOOR FINISHES DOWN TO EXISTING CONCRETE
SLAB. FILLALL CRACKS AND HOLES WITH CONCRETE PATCHING
MATERIAL.
B. REFER TO MECHANICAL, PLUMBING AND ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS FOR
REMOVALOF MECHANICAL, PLUMBING AND ELECTRICAL ITEMS.
C. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PROTECTION OF ALL EXISTING
SURFACES, MATERIALS, COMPONENTS, ETC. TO REMAIN, SLAVAGED OR
BE RELOCATED. ANY DAMAGE TO THESE RESULTING FORM
PERFORMANCE OF WORK SHALL BE REPAIRED BYTHE CONTRACTOR AT
NO ADDITIONAL EXPENSE TO THE OWNER.
D. IF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS ARE UNCOVERED DURING DEMOLITION OR
CONSTRUCTION, NOTIFY OWNER AND ARCHITECT IMMEDIATELY.
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS WILL BE REMOVED BY OWNER AT OWNER'S
EXPENSE UNDER SEPARATE CONTRACT.
E. REMOVE AND/OR DEMOLISH ITEMS INDICATED. DEMOLISHED
MATERIALS SHALLBE REMOVED FROM SITE IMMEDIATELY BY
CONTRACTOR UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE.
F. DEMOLISH NOTED BATHROOM FIXTURES AND TOILET PARTITIONS
COMPLETE.
G. DEMOLISHED NOTED MECHANICAL, ELECTRICALAND PLUMBING
EQUIPMENT COMPLETE.
H. DEMOLISH ALLPIPE AND CONDUIT ASSOCIATED WITH DEMOLISHED
EQUIPMENT.
I. SALVAGE EXISTING DOORS AND FRAMES NOTED TO BE DEMOLISHED
THAT ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. THESE MAY BE REUSED IN NEW
CONSTRUCTION. KEEP IN STORAGE ON SITE UNTIL IT IS DETERMINED
THATTHEYARE NOT NEEDED.
J. PATCH AND REPAIR WALL SURFACES WHERE PARTITIONS WERE
DEMOLISHED.
K. PATCH FLOOR SURFACES WHERE PARTITIONS OR PLUMBING
PIPING/FIXTURES WERE DEMOLISHED WITH FLOOR LEVELING
COMPOUND TO ACHIEVE SMOOTH SURFACE READYTO RECIEVE NEW
FLOOR FINISHES.
