RE: CARMEL CITY CODE WEEDS/GRASS VIOLATION
Dear Sir or Madam:
This letter is being provided to inform you that the property at 0 126`h Street
(retention/ common area), a property list under your ownership, is in violation of Carmel City
Code § 6-88 (Ordinance No. D-1557-02) and Indiana Code §36-1-3-6 (b)(1).
(c) Requirement to cut. All owners of real property ("property') located within
the City shall cut and remove weeds and other rank vegetation growing
thereon that exceeds an average height of six inches, and shall keep their
property clear of debris.
I've received several complaints about the back section of the retention/common area not
being mowed, and it is all one parcel under your ownership. I will allow a 10-12 foot perimeter
to be mowed along the back and along adjoining properties, and the rest can be kept
naturalized. Please be advised, this violation need to be corrected by June 2, 2017. Typically,
this type of matter would be brought into compliance through abatement by the City if not
corrected, but since it is a common area the Home Owner's Association will receive citations
to correct his matter, and that will require mandatory appearance in Carmel City Court.
